Ok, is everyone ready for some spy capers?
Mike: Huh?
Peter: Spying?
Micky: Always ready for spy stuff.
Davy: We don't 'ave much choice, do we? :P
*We open in the devils' hideout, in Alex's...ahem...room. There's an obvious lump under the blankets on the bed. We hear some noises and see movement under the blankets.*
(Sheila barges in at this moment. She's dressed in relatively normal 1973 clothes, a peasant blouse and bell bottom jeans with sandals.)
Sheila: Alex!
Alex: *as he pops his head out from under the covers; annoyed* Whaaaat?!
Sheila: Alex, we have a meeting today with a very important visitor! Or have you forgotten?
(Sheila goes to Alex's bed to pull the blanket off.)
Alex: Don't touch that! *growls* Fine, I'll be ready shortly. *mutters* Mood's been ruined anyway.
Sheila: Call for the handmaidens to feed and tend to your pet, then join us. Our new collaborator is rather impatient.
Alex: I will, after you leave.
Sheila: Very well. Don't be too late...and don't go right back to doing what you were doing before the moment my back turns. ;) :p
Alex: You killed the mood anyway. I couldn't go right back to what I was doing even if I wanted to.
(She heads out.)
Alex: *glances under the blankets* Hold that thought, my lovely.
*We fade out as the handmaidens enter the room.*
(Fade in on one of Alex's laboratories, the one he used for the animals in "Return of the Clone," in fact. Sheila's already there, chatting with a very, very familiar young woman with red hair and a thick, rather odd Russian accent.)
*Alex enters the lab, dressed in his favorite black t-shirt and black jeans.*
Sheila: Well, welcome aboard, Alex. That didn't take as long as I thought. Was this one not as good as you thought she'd be?
Alex: *glares at Sheila* You just love bothering me, don't you?
Sheila: Someone needs to take your ego down a few hundred notches. ;)
Woman: Could we talk later? I have come here for your help, not your witty wisecracks.
Sheila: Calm down, Elena. I already told you we'd be more than happy to help. (Turns to Alex) Alex, this is Madame Elena Orinsky, an old friend of mine. Elena, this is Alex, my business partner.
Alex: *eyes Madame* Sure doesn't look old.
Madame: (Notices Alex looking her over) Do not get ideas, young man. I am not one of your women. I am here for your help, not your body. :p
Alex: Maybe later, then.
Sheila: I met Elena in London, before we both came over here. (Smirks) She's had...run-ins...with some old friends of ours.
Madame: I was told you know of Monkees. :p
Alex: You, too, huh?
Madame: They are part of reason I spent last six years in Chinese prison. My people finally got me out, and I want revenge on those who put me in that hell-house in first place.
Sheila: The Monkees have been nothing but a thorn in our sides for many years. Many, MANY years.
Madame: It is not just Monkee group who set me up. I want revenge on CIS. They jailed my then-partner, brought the Monkees in, and kept tabs on us whole time. Their head man was some stupid creature called Honeywell. I hear he head man now.
Sheila: How do you suppose we do that?
Madame: What would bring Monkees and CIS so they could be trapped?
Sheila: I don't know about the CIS, but the Monkees and their families are very, very close. If you have one or two, the others will follow.
Madame: A simple kidnapping. That could work. (Looks at Sheila) What of CIS?
Sheila: That's going to be harder. They're one of the largest spy organizations in this country.
Madame: (Thoughtful) I have heard the CIS was covering security for a record company. This is odd. There must be something to that. My informants tell me plainclothesmen surround the building, and there is much activity and secrecy surrounding project.
Alex: It has something to do with lasers & music. I've been working finding exactly what's going on, but that's all I've heard so far
Madame: It must be something important, something that would, perhaps, draw your Monkees?
Alex: More than likely.
Madame: The name of the company, according to my informants, is Headquarters Records, a mid-level company, not major but up-and-coming, with some popular acts...including your Monkees.
Sheila: (Raises her eyebrows) The reason the Monkees are on their roster is because the owner and president is the wife of one of it’s members.
Alex: This just became even more interesting...
Sheila: There must be a way to hold them here. We've had them before, several times, but we keep losing them. :p
Madame: And they are very clever, especially that dark-haired boy in the green woolen hat. I suspect he may have had something to do with the switch in the microfilm that led to my arrest. He had it on his person when we were in dance club. :p
Sheila: Michael is extremely clever and VERY hard to hold down. He must be heavily subdued before it can even be attempted.
Madame: There must be SOME way we can bring them here!
Sheila: (Thoughtful) I have been working on an idea, something I've meant to pass onto Alex...
Alex: Which would be...
Sheila: Michael, the dark haired boy who once wore a green wool hat, has a very unusual talent. He is able to change into a wolf when he's angry.
Madame: A...wolf? How is this so?
Sheila: I think it had something to do with the melding of his DNA and a wolf's several years ago. I know it sounds like the comic books, but we've seen him do it several times. (Looks at Alex) It wasn't pretty.
Madame: How will this help us?
Sheila: I believe he's more vulnerable when he's in wolf form. He can't control himself like that, and it frightens him.
Madame: So we'll control him this way?
Sheila: It'll come in handy. Wolves have highly developed senses, especially sense of smell. We'll trap him, then use him to sniff out the others, so to speak.
Madame: But how will we trap him? You said yourself he is clever.
Alex: *snaps his fingers; a heavy leather collar and two drugs appear on the table in front of him* Voila.
Madame: Very interesting. (runs her fingers over the drugs)
Sheila: Alex, isn't that the collar you used on Michael a few years ago?
Alex: Yes...with a few improvements.
Sheila: (To Madame) We almost had him two years ago, but his bandmates confused him and broke him out of it. (Sheila fingers the heavy metal clasp)
Madame: So, how will we get him?
Sheila: We won't go to HIM. We'll wait for him to come to US...or more specifically, to Headquarters Records. The studios aren't far from the main headquarters in Los Angeles.
Madame: (Smirks) I will contact my informants in the KGB. They'll help us get CIS at same time. I want to humiliate that twit the way he humiliate me.
Sheila: (Nods) Go do that now. I want to get this set up as soon as possible. You can use the phone in my office. Down the hall, turn right, second door on your left. Feel free to enjoy all of the amenities here, too. (Smirks) All of them.
Madame: (Smirks) I may consider that. Your amenities are certainly more pleasing to the eye than my former partner, and even more pleasing to the brain.
Sheila: I'll show you some of our best amenities when you finish. ;)
(Madame heads out. Sheila turns to Alex.)
Sheila: I'm rather glad I ran into her again on that business trip to London last week.
Alex: *still staring at the door* So am I.
Sheila: (Rolls her eyes) Alex, she'd knee you in the groin before you got a chance to aim right. Elena is all business. :p
Alex: *turns to Sheila, grinning* We'll see about that. ;)
Sheila: (Indicates the items on the table with a smirk) Tell me more about this new collar. You know Elena's little plot isn't the only reason I want to tame Michael. I want to get him into my bed again, preferably without protests.
Alex: I've just improved on what the collar could already do, but I made one little tweak. It'll still work as well with him in human form, not just as a wolf.
Sheila: Wonderful. Tell me more, Alex. Tell me MUCH more.
Alex: *makes a face* You have an imagination, don't you?
Sheila: It's so much more fun when you tell it.
Alex: You're killing me Sheila, you know that.
Sheila: But you love it so. ;)
Alex: For some odd reason, yeah.
Sheila: Well, why don't we see what we can do with this new plot together?
Alex: Let’s.
(Sheila and Alex lean over the table as Alex begins talking and the camera pulls out, then fades out all together.)
