Everyone ready to begin this year's Halloween stories?

Mike: As long as none of us end up dead, I'm all for it.

Peter: Um...

Micky: I'm ready!

Davy: I'm game.

(We open almost two months after the early September finale of "MonkeeMen Vs Machine," on Halloween night. Throngs of people and children in costume walk around Malibu Beach, going up to doors and announcing "Trick or Treat!" The camera follows three of these children as they race down the sidewalk. We first see Katie in a miniature knight's costume like a child-sized version of Peter's costume from "Fairy Tale," though Katie wears soft little boots and has a tiny sword.)

Katie: "Ha! Beat'cha! :D"

*A miniature Batman stops next to her. It's Little Mick."

Mick: "I let you win!"

Katie: "Sure you did!"

Shelly: *Jogs up last; wears a Snow White dress and little red maryjanes; a little out of breath* "Why do you have to run so fast?" :P

Katie: "You run fast in a race!" :D

Jordan: (Calling from off-camera) "Hey guys, wait up!"

Micky: *pushing Jordan's stroller; Jordan's dressed as a dragon* Kids, you shouldn't run so far ahead!

Davy: *stops next to Micky* Why, Mick, afraid they'll outrun you?

Micky: No I'm not.

Katie: Yes you are!

Davy: Oh, c'mon, mate.

Micky: I can outrun all of them! :P

Jordan: Siwy! :))

Katie: We silly? (Turns her sword to Jordan in his pale green "dragon" costume with orange spots and fabric "spikes" and tickles him with her plastic sword; he giggles) You silly!

Jordan: (Giggling) "Katie, stop!"

Katie: (Looks up at Micky) More twick or tweet? :D

Micky: You bet, Miss Katie! We've got plenty more houses to go to!

Katie: Yay! Let's go! (She starts running again)

Jordan: "Hey Katie, don't go! Wait for me! I can't run like you can!"

Davy: 'Ey, Mick, let me push Jordan for a while, and you can race the kids.

Micky: *quirks an eyebrow* I thought the others told you not to egg me on.

Davy: *grins* They aren't here.

Micky: I'm finally rubbing off on you. About time.

Katie: (Goes to the twins) "Let's go to Mrs. Purdy's next. She gives out wrapped candy apples!"

Little Mick: "I love candy apples!"

(Katie and Micky run down the sidewalk again, followed by Micky. Jordan just sighs to Shelly.)

Jordan: "I wish they'd slow down. They're going to get into trouble one of these days."

Shelly: "I wish I could run as fast as them. Oh well."

Jordan: "I'm not as good at running as any of you! I can never catch up!"

Shelly: "You're still smaller than us. I run like Mommy. She doesn't run well, either."

Jordan: "I wish I was big, like you and Mick and Katie. Then I could run with all of you." :(

Shelly: "You be big soon, Jordan, then you can run with the others. For now, you get to hang out with me."

Jordan: "Ok! I like you. You're nice, and you don't make a lot of noise like Mick does sometimes." :p

Katie: (Goes back over to Shelly, followed by Mick and a panting Micky) Come on, Shelly! We twick or tweet!

Jordan: (Claps) Yay!

Shelly: Alright!

Micky: C'mon, kids, let’s show Mrs. Purdy your great costumes! ;)

(Davy pushes Jordan's stroller up to Mrs. Purdy's front door, passing several lighted, glowing carved pumpkins. Micky knocks on the door, then steps back as the three older kids hold out full fabric bags.)

Kids: (After she opens the door) TRICK OR TREAT!

Mrs. Purdy: (Laughs) My my, aren't you all adorable? A little knight in shining armor and her dragon, a little Batman, and a little fairy tale princess! (She picks up a tray of cellophane-wrapped apples covered in caramel with sticks poking out of the top) Here you go, children! One for you (puts an apple in Katie's bag), and Miss Shelly (apple in Shelly's bag), and Batman (apple in Mick's bag), and this darling little dragon (apple in Jordan's bag)!

Katie: Tank you!

Mrs. Purdy: And it looks like you've done very well tonight, too.

Micky: Ahem. *produces a bag of his own; looks around innocently everywhere, except at Mrs. Purdy* ;)

Mrs. Purdy: Aren't you a bit old for this, young man? A TV star trick-or-treating with the little ones?

Micky: *shrugs* I can't pass up the candy. *smiles* :)

Davy: 'E can't 'elp 'imself.

Mrs. Purdy: (Sighs) Well, all right, but please remember, you're a grown man. (Plops a candy apple in his bag)

Micky: Thanks, Mrs. Purdy! *kisses her cheek*

Mrs. Purdy: (Blushes) Oooh...I've never been kissed by a music star before! You're such good boys, always helping me out, and your children are just darlings.

Micky: We do our best.

Davy: *grins* And Mick does 'is best...at brown-nosing.

*Micky elbows Davy.*

Mrs. Purdy: (Laughs) Well, you boys move along. I'll see you soon! I was going to bake a lemon meringue pie tomorrow, and I thought your wife might like some for the children, Micky.

Katie: (Tugs at Micky's sleeve) C'mon! Let's go!

Micky: Thank you, Mrs. P! Pie is always greatly appreciated! *turns to Katie* Okay, little lady, we're moving along now. *gives Mrs. Purdy a wave*

(Mrs. Purdy laughs and waves as more children come up her walk and Micky, Davy, and the kids move along.)

Katie: (Hurrying down the walkway, with Shelly and Mick close behind) "Trick or treat is so much fun! How many houses do we have left?"

Little Mick: "I think that's all of them."

Jordan: (Shakes his head) "No, it isn't! You forgot one house!"

Katie: "No way! We're not going to the witch's house!"

Jordan: "Mommy says the lady in the house down the street from us isn't a witch. She's just an old lady who lives alone and doesn't have anyone to help her."

Katie: "I've seen her! She has a black cat and everything!"

Jordan: "Did you really see her?"

Katie: "Well...I saw her cat! It has really freaky green eyes!"

Little Mick: "I thought I saw her with her broom, getting ready to ride it!"

Jordan: "You probably just saw her sweeping her porch, Mick."

Katie: "We are NOT going there! We have plenty of candy!"

Micky: All right, one more house.

Davy: You think the rumahs are true, Mick?

Micky: Well, we won't know unless we go, right?

Davy: Right.

Jordan: "I agree with Unca Micky and Unca Davy. What if she's just a nice old lady and is all alone and sad?"

Katie: "If we have to go to that house, I'll protect you, Jordan!" (Pulls out her little sword and waves it the way she thinks her father would)

Jordan: "Katie, you won't need to protect me! There's nothing bad there!"

Little Mick: "I wanna see if she's got a buncha potions n’ stuff!"

Jordan: "I'll bet the only potion she has is apple cider!"

Katie: "I'll bet it's poisoned!"

Jordan: "I'll bet it isn't!"

*The guys bring the kids up to the beginning of the walk to the house. The house is dark.*

Micky: There's no lights on.

Katie: "Maybe she isn't home." (Spoken) Go 'way! Bad witch!

Jordan: No!

Davy: Now, kids, we don't know if she's a witch or not.

Micky: I wouldn't be surprised if she is. I also wouldn't be surprised if she isn’t home right now. :P

(A light goes on in the back of the house as the rickety front door creaks open. The house looks like a far more dilapidated version of the late Victorian Montgomery House, with peeling paint, rusted shutters, splintered "gingerbread" decorations, and broken parts in the large porch.)

Micky: Or maybe she is home.

Davy: Wot a prompt answah.

Jordan: "Um, is it me, or is it spooky here?" (An owl hoots in the distance, and something scurries across the porch)

Katie: "This is worse than those old horror movies Unca Micky likes!"

Little Mick: "Uh, I don't know if this is such a good idea..."

Shelly: "I'm scared!" *latches onto her brother* :-O

Little Mick: "C'mon, Shel, it's just a little dark...and spooky..."

Katie: "I wish my papa and mama were here, but Papa is making music at the studio, and Mama is helping Auntie Lauren and Auntie Valerie with the party at the Montgomery House!" :o

Jordan: "And my daddy is with your dad at the music place, Katie!"

Katie: (Tugs at Micky) Scary, Unca Micky!

Micky: It sure seems scary.

Davy: Gonna chicken out, Mick?

Micky: Me? No way, man!

Davy: Your feet aren't moving, mate. ;)

Micky: Okay, maybe my feet are scared, but I'm not!

*Davy rolls his eyes.*

Micky: Besides, I don't see YOU moving.

Davy: I was waiting for you.

Micky: Suuuure!

Katie: We go in?

Little Mick: Go!

Shelly: No go!

Micky: Don't worry, kiddos. We're here with you.

Katie: (Climbs on the steps and peers in the door) "It sure is dark in there. Maybe we should ring a doorbell or something."

*The guys follow with the rest of the kids. Micky knocks on the door.*

Micky: Hello? Is anyone home?

(Micky knocks again. The door now creaks fully open.)

Katie: (Peers in again) "I don't see anything!"

Jordan: (As Davy pulls the stroller onto the porch) "Katie, get away from there! That's not your house!"

Katie: "But the door's open! What if the witch fell into her potion bowl or something?"

Micky: Dave, I don't like this. The door shouldn't be open like this.

Davy: Do you think maybe something's wrong?

Micky: Could be. I think we should go in and find out.

Jordan: (Gulps) "I hope we don't fall into anything!"

Katie: "Don't worry, Jordan! If anything tries to attack you, I'll make it go away!"

Jordan: "But what if it's a big, scary monster?"

Katie: "I'll poke it with my sword!"

Jordan: (Turns to the twins) "Will you save me from a monster? I don't want to be eaten!"

Little Mick: "Don't worry, Jordan! We won't let you get eaten!"

Shelly: "Right! Not even a nibble!"

Jordan: "Thank you!"

Katie: "We always take care of each other, Jordan! We won't ever let any bad old monster or witch hurt you!"

Jordan: (Looks around as everyone enters the dark hall) "Wow, it's spooky in here!"

Katie: (Calls out) Hello? Witchie?

Micky: Ma'am? Anyone home?

Davy: 'Ello?

(Suddenly, we hear the sound of a cat racing in the darkness. There's a black streak as something jumps onto Micky's head!)

Micky: *screams* Hey!? :-O

Katie: Bad kitty!

(The cat jumps off of Micky's head and onto a mantelpiece as "Take a Giant Step" begins. The kids chase the cat, who jumps all around the dark, dusty living room.)

*Micky checks his hair to make sure it's all still there.*

(Jordan imitates Micky, even though his auburn hair is covered by his dragon costume.)

*Davy shakes his head.*

(Katie blows into a big jug with cattails and slightly withered fall flowers in it. She's looking for bad witch potions, but becomes more amused with the sound the jug makes as she blows into it.)

*The twins check out several house plants, wondering what roles they play in possible potions.*

(Katie pulls down a book and almost knocks herself over, it's so heavy. She's dismayed when it turns out to have no pictures. She picks it up as well as she can and brings it over to Davy and Jordan to see if it's a spell book.)

*Davy opens the book, then shakes his head. The book is a dictionary.*

(Jordan peeks at the book and is equally dismayed.)

*Micky finds a couple loose bobby pins on the floor in the living room.*

(Katie sees a broom next to the closet. She shows the twins excitedly, even though she's a little disappointed it's an ordinary modern slanted broom and not an old-fashioned corn broom. :D)

(The trio try to pull it down. They climb on it, trying to make it fly!)

*Micky laughs, watching the kids try to "take off" on the broom. He shakes his head, still grinning.* ;)

(Jordan sees a bunch of dolls on a shelf. Katie gets off the broom and runs over to him, thinking the dolls are "monsters" that might attack him. Jordan hugs one of the dolls and pulls it into the relative light...revealing it's an old-fashioned, small porcelain doll.)

*Micky comes out of the dining room wearing a witch's hat!* ;)

(Katie gasps, wondering where he got it!)

*Micky takes the hat off. It has a tag on the inside that reads "Morey's Costumes."*

(Katie looks relieved. She and Micky bring the hat to Davy as the music ends.)
