Rub It In, Rub It In

by Lauren

The break room door opened and Lauren and Jack entered, carrying Micky with them. They set him on the couch.

"Man, why is he heavier than he looks?" Jack asked. "If I pulled something..."

Lauren smirked. "Everyone always asks that."

"Anyway, I'll take over for a little while so you can make sure he's okay," Jack offered.

"Thanks, Jack. Hopefully, it won't take too long," Lauren said.

"Don't worry about it," Jack said, then left the room, closing the door after him.

Lauren looked down at Micky, who still snored softly. She decided to make herself comfortable and just wait for him to wake up.

Sometime later, Micky woke up. He looked around, trying to figure out where he was. He rubbed at his eyes, then realized he was on the couch in the break room. He groaned, realizing he'd either fell asleep... or passed out.

"Mick?"

He turned and saw Lauren in the chair next to the couch. He gave her a lopsided grin. "Hiya, babe."

Lauren leaned over the arms of the chair and couch. "Are you okay? I heard you groan..."

"I was trying to figure out how I got here..."

"Jack and I carried you in. You fell asleep after you rested your head in my lap," Lauren said.

"Oohh," Micky moaned, sitting up.

"Really, Micky, how do you feel?" Lauren asked.

"I don't feel nauseous anymore." He looked around the room. "It doesn't seem quite as small in here anymore, either."

Lauren rested a hand on his. "What happened last night?"

Micky sighed. He knew it'd only be a matter of time before she asked. "We were working on the album most all day. I was really burnt out. I heard Pete mention something about heading out to Laurel Canyon to meet up with his other buddies and party and relax a little. So I asked if I could go. Pete didn't mind, though he'd seemed a bit surprised at me asking. So we got there. They were working on some of their songs so I kinda wandered around the place. When I got back to the living room... you could see the smoke from their pipes and cigarettes." He made a face. "It's already hazy from there, just from the smoke. I saw a couple of the guys trying something new. They told me what the name of it was... I had no idea how to pronounce it and couldn't remember it now for anything. I tried it, but I didn't really feel anything different. A couple of the other guys seemed to like it, but I couldn't figure it out. Pete had gone back over with another group by that point..." Micky rubbed at the bridge of his nose with his free hand. "I think I tried it again and it's just really hazy after that, until they dropped me off at the house and you were already asleep."

"And you were still asleep when I got up this morning to go over to Millie's for the morning shift," Lauren finished. She let go of his hand and got up, moving to sit next to him on the couch. "I guess... I don't understand why you even went with them."

"I don't know. I know that isn't an answer, but it's the truth." Micky turned to Lauren. "Babe, really, I am so sorry. I should've just went home, but I didn't. And it was just plain stupid to try that drug." He shook his head, then leaned forward, his chin propped in his palms. "I'm high-strung enough as is, I don't need any help."

Lauren tried to not laugh, and ended up just sighing. "Mick..." she paused. She reached over and rubbed at his shoulders and neck with both hands. He gave a moan. "I'm sorry about yelling at you earlier, Mick. But, I just wanted to know what was going on." She continued the massage. "Man, are you tense!"

Micky turned his head to look at her. "Kinda goes without saying, doesn't it?"

"Yeah. Probably doesn't help that I turned you down earlier, either," she said, frowning a bit.

"Making out can only do so much," he admitted with a wink.

"Though I have a feeling Jack might think we did more," Lauren said, moving her hands down his back.

Micky winced as she worked on a particularly tense spot. "He's a good guy, he doesn't care. Nyles, though, we'd have to be careful around. He'll use it for ammunition, like Dave has done." He moaned again. "Oh, man, babe, I think you found the source right there..."

"Maybe I could get a part-time job as a masseuse..." Lauren teased, then watched his head whip around to glare at her. "I was kidding, Mick! Can't you take a joke?"

"Right now, I guess not," he admitted, as Lauren moved her hands again. "Oh, babe, go back to that last spot, there's still a kink there."

"Gotcha." She rubbed at the small of his back again. "Actually, it'd probably feel even better if you laid on your stomach..."

"Don't have to ask me twice!" Micky said, then stood, pulling Lauren up with him. He laid down on his stomach, then giggled as she straddled him.

"Don't laugh like that! I have to sit on your butt to get your lower back!" Lauren argued, then swatted his thigh.

"Sorry," he said, more into the cushion, trying to stop giggling.

She rubbed at his lower back again. "How's the architecture going? It just occurred to me that I don't remember you mentioning it lately."

Micky groaned and she eased up. "You're doing fine, babe. That was the response to your question. I've been so busy with the album, putting the finishing touches on the movie, and DJing that I haven't had time to work on any projects, including Davy and Daphne's porch steps that I said I'd fix for them over a month ago."

"Well, hopefully, you'll be able to pick that up again soon," Lauren said, pushing one palm right into his back.

"Ughhh... babe... you're my personal masseuse. That's the spot right there..." he said, his eyes closing.

She leaned around and saw his eyes closed, then reached down to tickle him.

"Hey!?" Micky said, his eyes snapping open.

"No falling asleep," Lauren said, grinning.

"Evil..." he said, smirking.

"No, that's you," she retorted.

Micky groaned again. "Uh, babe?"

"Yeah, Mick?"

"About my request earlier?"

"Yeah?"

"Do ya feel like it now?"

Lauren paused. "I'm sorry, Mick, now is really not the best time."

Micky was quiet for several moments. Finally, he admitted, "This is really making me horny."

She snorted, then jabbed her elbow between his shoulder blades. He yelped. "I was waiting for that."

He moaned. "If you were waiting, then you must have an answer of how to relieve that for me."

"Wanna give me a massage?" Lauren suggested.

"Back or front?"

"Mick!" She laughed and swatted the back of his head.

Micky rolled over, knocking Lauren into the back of the couch, still laughing. He sat up on his knees and winked. "Turn around, babe."

"No problem." She did so, her back to him, and he rubbed at her neck and shoulders first.

"How's that?" he asked.

"Feels great, Mick."

"Sit down more," he suggested.

Lauren did so and tilted her head forward. "Oh, man..."

"Geez, you've got a couple kinks going yourself here, babe," Micky said.

"...Wonder why..." she said, moaning.

He paused, pouting.

Lauren looked up and behind her. "Mick, I'm sorry. I didn't mean you. I meant the other... thing... you know..."

"Just checking, babe." Micky started down her back. "Do you feel okay? Do you... need... anything?"

She waved a hand. "I took care of getting what I needed. Had to blue light it. I know we decided to not use it unless absolutely necessary... but it was absolutely necessary."

"But do you feel okay?" he asked again.

Lauren tilted her head down again. "Ehh, not great, but not too bad either."

"Lower?"

"Down here," she said, pointing to just above her lower back, at her waist.

"Got it." Micky moved his hands down and finally elicited a moan from her. "Found it," he announce, grinning, even though she couldn't see it.

Lauren chuckled, then moaned again. "Yeah... yeah... you found it."

"You know... I'm glad there really isn't anyone else in the building. I could just imagine what someone would be thinking if they heard us through the door!"

She raised her head and groaned. "Mick! Now why'd you have to go and say something like that?"

Micky shrugged. "That's me being evil. Sorry, babe."

Lauren leaned back against him and looked up. "Atleast it's a good evil."

He grinned down at her. "That's me. The angel with horns and a pitchfork." He waggled his eyebrows.

She laughed, then winced. "Oh, don't make me laugh so hard. Kinda hurts."

Micky wrapped his arms around Lauren's waist and leaned his chin on her shoulder. "How about we try to take care of the main trouble spot, then?"

She made a face. "But, Mick..."

"I didn't mean that," he said, then slid his hand over her abdomen. "It's kinda funny to touch here and not feel something kick in there."

Lauren sighed. "We'll see, Mick. Let Leah atleast be able to chase the twins first, then we'll talk."

"I'm gonna hold you to that, babe."

"I know you will, Mick. I know you will."
