Ok, so everyone ready to save our crew?

Mike: I want Em. :(

Micky: Yes, definitely!

Peter: I have my own agenda.

Davy: This is crackahs! :P

(We open at the Montgomery House. Kimberly, Maxine, Jenny, and Valerie play with Jordan, Katie, the twins, Leah, Lizzie, and Robbie in the yellow parlor room.)

Jordan: (Puts one last log on his Lincoln Log cabin) All done, Mommy!

Valerie: Very nice, dear.

(There's a series of blue lights outside the window. A few minutes later, Daphne, Davy, Micky, Lauren, and Mike walk in the door.)

Maxine: Hi guy... (her smile dies when she sees Mike) Mike, what in the heck happened to your hair? It looks like someone took a saw to it.

Mike: Peter.

Valerie: Peter?

Micky: He got a little weed whacker happy.

Katie: Daddy! (She runs to her father) You ok? I feel weird.

Robbie: Me too. Feel yucky.

Mike: (Pulls away) Don't touch me!

Katie: Uh...ok. Why?

Mike: Just don't, ok, cowgirl? I'm...Papa's real scared right now.

Jordan: Unca Mike, you aren't white. You're...gray.

Maxine: (Raises her eyebrows) Other than his hair, he looks the same as he always does to me.

Davy: Mike's just very worried right now.

Katie: (Leans over Jordan; whispers) What do you mean, he isn't white?

Jordan: His light isn't white. It's gray-ish and shakes a lot.

Maxine: Where's Em?

Mike: She's gone. Peter and Alex took her away.

Valerie: What!

Jordan: Daddy's not blue anymore!

Maxine: Why would Peter take Em away?

Kimberly: And where would he take her to?

Mike: Peter made her disappear. She's gone.

Robbie: No Mama?

Katie: (Growls) The Bad Man hurt Mama?

Mike: Kids, we don't know. We don't know what happened to her.

Katie: (She marches right up to the adults) Did the Bad Man hurt my mama?

Davy: We don't know.

Mike: We're gonna...ow! (Mike cringes) I feel like someone's twistin' my arms...yeowch! (Rubs his leg) And now, my legs.

Robbie: Ouuuuuch! Leg hurt!

Katie: Oww! My neck hurts!

Mike: Mine too. Someone's hurtin' your mama.

*Micky, Davy, Lauren, and Daphne exchange looks.*

Maxine: How do you know that?

Mike: It's how our powers work. We can feel what our partner feels.

Maxine: Is that why I always feel woozy when John's hung over?

Katie: I wanna save Mama!

Mike: No, Cowgirl. You're still too young.

Robbie: I's scared!

Mike: I am too, Cowboy. I'm very scared.

Kimberly: Well, what are you going to do now?

Mike: (Looks at the others) I don't know. Where do you guys think they'd keep Em?

Lauren: She's gotta still be in Arizona. Where, exactly...

Micky: Is anyone's guess.

Valerie: What about Sheila's penthouse, where they kept me and Lauren a few days ago?

Mike: You think they might do the same to Em?

Valerie: (Nods) It's possible.

Davy: It makes sense.

Valerie: I think we should split up. Yes, I know that usually invites the devils to think they can grab whomever they want, but think of it this way. SOMEONE has to be watching Em. If she's in the penthouse and Ursula is at Arizona, THEY'RE split up, too.

Mike: Uh, who wants to go where?

Davy: Daph and I will go to the penthouse.

Micky: Lauren and I can go to Arizona.

Mike: I'll...stay here. Yeah. (Runs his finger over his usual chair in the parlor) This chair needs to be dusted and vacuumed.

Valerie: Mike, the maids just dusted and vacuumed in here yesterday! What's with you?

Mike: Peter. He said...he told me I'm no good. I hurt him.

Valerie: How have you hurt him, Mike?

Mike: "Head." I took his music away on the album....I got angry with him on the movie.

Valerie: Mike, no one knows who switched the two versions of "Circle Sky." (Makes a face) And his problems are not your fault. YOU weren't in jail.

Mike: He hates me.

Valerie: (Turns to Lauren) How long has Mike been acting like this?

Lauren: Since we found him after being separated in Arizona.

Micky: They did some nasty stuff to him. REALLY nasty stuff.

Valerie: And Peter was involved.

Micky: Yes.

Valerie: Isn't there anything we can do for him? (Mike is dusting the chair with a cloth from the table) The maids really did clean that yesterday.

Micky: *sighs* We already tried.

Valerie: Maybe he should stay here until someone can find Em.

Davy: *nods* That's for the best.

Valerie: You can blue-light him to help with Peter when you find him...and me, too. (Sighs) But I don't think either of us are up to handling demons, handmaidens, and the Devils right now.

Lauren: We'll bring you both in only once you're really needed.

Mike: Does anyone have a carpet sweeper?

Valerie: (Sighs) He is DEFINITELY not up for handling devils.

Mike: (Looks up) What's wrong? Did I do something?

Micky: No, Mike, you didn't.

Mike: Good. (He goes back to dusting)

Katie: (She sits next to the twins) "What's wrong with my Papa? He's really, really scared...and my papa is NEVER scared, of ANYTHING."

Robbie: (Joins his sister) "Papa's actin' really weird!"

Katie: "I wish I could help him, or at least make him stop dusting the chair."

Jordan: "My daddy's not right, either. He's so angry! Daddy never gets mad!"

Katie: "Are you guys all ok? Do you think there's some way we could help Papa?"

Little Mick: "My head hurts a little, but other than that, I'm okay."

Shelly: *nods* "I feel the same way."

Robbie: "I wish we knew what Uncle Peter did to Papa." (He looks at Jordan.) "Why doesn't Uncle Peter like Papa anymore?"

Jordan: (Frowns) "I don't think Daddy likes anyone anymore. He's been acting so weird for a while. He just hasn't been home, and his light's been so dark."

Katie: "I wanna help Papa! I wanna go to the Bad Lady's big new house and save Mama!"

Maxine: (She stands and joins the others) Mick, when do you guys think you'll be back? We don't have a gig or a recording session going on today, but we want to know what to tell the kids.

Micky: Hopefully, just later today.

Lauren: That's if everything goes as planned, of course.

Katie: (She runs over to Micky and tugs on the sleeve of his shirt) Uncle Micky, can I help save Mama and Aunt Ursula?

Micky: *kneels down and smiles at her* Sweetie, the best way you can help save your mama and Aunt Ursula is to think good thoughts for us. Can you do that?

Katie: Sure! I can do that! I wanna see my mama again! (Nods at her brother) Can Robbie do that, too?

Micky: Of course he can! The more, the merrier!

Katie: And Jordan? Jordan's real upset, 'cause his daddy is mad and dark.

Micky: *smiling* All of you.

Katie: Ok! (Valerie turns to the others as Katie runs back to the kids and Abbies and Mike continues cleaning in the background)

Valerie: How are you going to get there? The cars?

Micky: *with a smirk* How about the Express Way?

Valerie: Ahhhh.

Lauren: *nods* Quicker that way.

Valerie: Call Mike and I on the communicators when you need us.

Davy: We will.

(Micky and Lauren and Davy and Daphne say "good-bye" to their kids, then go back outside. We see blue lights, outside...and they're gone again.)

Mike: (Runs the carpet sweeper around the kids) 'Scuse me, gang. Need to clean here.

Katie: (She moves) Ok, Papa. (She turns to the other kids) "Why is Papa cleanin' all the time? He's not even this clean at home!"

*The twins shrug.*

Robbie: "Maybe Mama yelled at him about what he does in his bed too."

Jordan: "Maybe the floor's dirty."

Robbie: "I wonder where Mama is?" (He frowns) "I hope she's ok. The Bad People are so mean!"

Katie: "I'll protect you, Robbie! I have my sword, and I can turn into a doggie and bite them!"

Jordan: "I wish my daddy were Daddy again. I think he's a Bad Person now."

Katie: "Your daddy's not bad! He's just...uh...not happy!"

Jordan: "But he's so DARK now."

Katie: "Our mamas and papas will make him right! They'll help my papa, too!"

Jordan: "Do you think so?"

Katie: "I know so. Remember how we promised we'd always help one another?"

Jordan: "Yeah."

Maxine: (As she sits down with the little girls) Mike, could you sit down for five minutes? You're gonna wear a hole in the rug.

Mike: It ain't clean enough.

Jenny: Don't get so close to the kids!

Kimberly: You probably think the kids are a mess, too.

Mike: (Stops and stares) Well, lookin' at the kids now, they could all use a couple of baths. Where have they been, a mud pit?

Kimberly: Me and my big mouth.

Katie: I'm not dirty! (She looks at herself) Well, not THAT dirty.

Mike: Ok kids, upstairs for baths!

*The kids all groan as one.*

(The door opens before Mike can try to herd the kids upstairs. Peter walks in. He's smiling pleasantly, but otherwise looks the same as he did when he was in Arizona.)

Mike: (Eyes widen; drops the carpet sweeper and jumps back behind his chair) Don't TOUCH me! Don't get NEAR me!

Jordan: Daddy!

Valerie: Peter, get out. I'm not happy with you at the moment.

Peter: Valerie, I've come to take you and Jordan out to lunch.

Valerie: We're not hungry.

Maxine: What's going on?

Kimberly: Yeah, what's up?

Peter: Can't a man take his family out to lunch? (He holds his hand out to Valerie) Come on. We'll go to Jacques' Cafe. Jordan likes it there, too.

Jordan: But Daddy...you're dark!

Peter: I'm fine, Jordan. Just fine.

Jordan: No. You're really dark!

Valerie: Peter, I don't think we should go to lunch, or anywhere. What did you do to Mike?

Peter: (Narrows his eyes) It was his own fault, Valerie. If he hadn't done that to me and my career, I wouldn't have had to teach him a lesson.

Mike: Pete, I'm sorry!

Maxine: Pete, calm down. You're really freaking me out.

Valerie: Peter...

(But Peter goes to Valerie and rubs her temples as Zelda and Alex appear in a black light.)

Peter: Valerie, I hate doing this...but it looks like I have to.

Jordan: MOMMY! DADDY!

Katie: Oh no!

Alex: Isn't this a fun little party?

Robbie: Bad!

Katie: (She gets in front of Jordan and Robbie) You go away, or I'll MAKE you!

Mike: Katie, don't provoke them.

Peter: (Gently lifts Valerie's chin) Val, you have to believe me. I love you. I still love you. I love you more than I've ever loved anyone. You're the only woman who'll ever be in my heart.

Valerie: Peter...yes...I love you so much...

Zelda: *smirks; to Alex* Don't those kids just make you NOT want some of your own?

*Alex nods, making a face.*

Katie: (She turns to the other kids) "Let's get 'em, Little Guardians! We'll make 'em go away!"

(Katie runs over to Alex and starts kicking him in the shin. She's followed by the twins, who grab his arms.)

Jordan: Daddy! (He grabs his father's hand) Don't hurt Mommy!

Robbie: Go 'way! (He grabs Alex's hand as best he can)

Peter: (Kneels down by his son) Jordan, I'm not hurting Mommy. I don't want to hurt anyone. I just want you two to be with me.

Alex: You have GOT to be kidding me.

Katie: (She picks up her wooden sword and hits Alex in the rear with it) "Shelly, Jordan, use your swords! Get the Bad Lady!"

*Alex yelps.*

(Leah and Lizzie have hold of Zelda's arms, pulling her around.)

Zelda: Whooooooaaaa!

Mike: Kids, be careful! They might hurt you, too!

Peter: No. (Gently takes the swooning Valerie in one arm and his son in the other) I want NONE of the children harmed. At all.

Jordan: Daddy... (He's near tears)

Mike: Leave them alone!

Peter: Shh, Jordan. Mommy's ok. She's just tired. We're going to go to Arizona.

Alex: *growls* That's it! *there's a black light over everyone. When it clears, the children appear to be frozen in place*

Zelda: *falls over; groans* Major spin cycle...

Maxine: The kids! What did you DO to them?

Kimberly: (Goes in karate stance) Yeah, jerkazoid!

Jordan: Katie...

Alex: *snorts* I merely froze them in time. They can still hear and see, but they can't MOVE. They'll be back to normal once we leave.

Mike: (He jumps out of his hiding place) Let them go! They're only kids!

Kimberly: Yeah, before I get ROUGH.

Mike: Before I...I...

Peter: (Glares at Mike) Before you WHAT?

Mike: (Cringes) I...I...uh, go back to my chair. (He jumps behind the chair again)

Alex: *smirks* You do that.

Zelda: *holds onto Alex* Let’s get outta here.

Peter: (Hands Jordan to Zelda; Alex gently catches Valerie) Take them back to Arizona. Put them in my suites. Alex, you're in charge of them until I return. Zelda, you come with me. (Smirks) I need to...talk to someone at the Penthouse.

Zelda: *nods* Alright.

Kimberly: (Points at Peter) And you! Traitor! How could you be this rotten to your family and your best friend?

Peter: I just want Valerie and Jordan to be with me. (Makes a face) And Michael deserved what he got.

Jenny: (Wails) No one deserves (points to the whimpering Mike behind the chair) THAT.

Peter: They do when they ruin someone's career. (He turns to Alex) Release the children the moment I leave. I want no damage to them. They're only kids; it's logical for them to want to help their parents.

Jordan: I want my Mommy!

(Peter finally disappears in a dark blue light, Jordan wailing the whole time.)

*Zelda disappears, following Peter.*

Alex: Meh. I'm outta here. I don't feel like dealing with these brats again. *disappears in a black light*

(The moment he disappears, there's a black light around the kids. They all start moving again.)

Mike: (He peers from around the chair) Is it safe?

Robbie: (He falls to the floor) "Oh no! The bad man gots Auntie Valerie an' Jordan!"

Kimberly: Well, this is a fine kettle of fish! They took our baby sitting charge and his mother while WE were watching them!

Katie: NO! No! Jordan!

Mike: Katie, stop.

Little Mick: Come back and fight fair!

Katie: NO! I WANT JORDAN! I WANT MAMA! I WANT PAPA! (There's a blue light around the angry, stomping little girl. When it subsides, a small black wolf cub darts out the doorway!)

Mike: K...Katie? (Eyes widen) Oh, my god...she can...she can....

Maxine: Tell me I didn't just see that.

Robbie: (His eyes are wide, too) "My sister's a doggie!"

*The twins exchange looks.*

(Katie runs back in, whining and empty-pawed. She runs over to her father and tries to nuzzle him.)

Mike: Katie, don't touch. (He pulls away) For one thing, you smell like a dog. You really do need a bath.

(The little wolf cub frowns and goes to the twins. She nuzzles THEM instead.)

*The twins pet Katie, trying to help her feel better.*

(Katie finally sits down and pants, howling. There's a blue light around her, and when it subsides, a little girl is in it's place, crying and rubbing her eyes.)

Katie: I want Jordan! He's gone! I turned into a doggie, and I couldn't get him!

Jenny: Poor kid. She must be so confused.

Mike: Katie.... (He goes to the little girl and kneels by her, gingerly touching her hair) Papa's gonna get Mama back. He's gonna help Jordan and Aunt Valerie, too.

Katie: (She sniffles and smiles) Really, Papa? Can you help Mama an' Jordan?

Mike: I don't know. (Closes his eyes, then says) But I have to try. For Jordan and your mother's sake. (Sighs) And for you kids, too.

Katie: Are you gonna send me to the pound?

Mike: (Shakes his head) No, Katie. We'd never do that. Besides (whispers) lemme tell you somethin'. Papa's a doggie, too.

Katie: Really?

Mike: Really. I'll show you sometime.

Katie: (She smiles a little) Ok.

Mike: (Gulps and turns to the Abbies) I want you guys to keep an eye on the other kids. You know how to defend yourselves if the Devils come back, but I have the feeling they won't. Peter was after his own family, not everyone else's.

Jenny: Mike, what about you?

Mike: I'm goin' after them. Sure, I'm scared, but...but I have to do it. (He gulps) For Em and Val and Ursula and Jordan (looks at the hopeful Robbie and Katie) and my own kids.

Mike: (Leans over the twins and says) You guys take good care of Katie and Robbie an' everyone else. You're the oldest, so you're in charge.

*The twins nod and echo "We will!"*

Mike: (Tries to bring himself to his full height) I'll be back with the others if...(corrects himself) when I find them. (Mutters) I hope this works. (He heads outside. There's a blue light in the window behind the parlor room as we fade out on the Abbies hugging the kids.)
