Everyone ready to save each other?
Mike: Smellin’...everythin’...
Peter: I’m too hot for rescues.
Micky: Too...cold...
Davy: HELP!
*We open sometime later, once it's morning, in the blacksmith's shop. There's a blue light. When the light fades, Lauren and the kids appear alongside Ursula.*
Katie: (Looks around) No Bad People here!
Jordan: Maybe they went underground?
Robbie: (Tugs on Lauren) Auntie, where's Mama?
Lauren: *Sighs* I don't know, Robbie, but hopefully we'll find out. (She turns to the bright-red car next to her.) Ursula?
(She remains silent. Jordan frowns and pats her.)
Jordan: Maybe they hurt Aunt Ursula!
Lauren: Oh no...Urse? *Runs her hand over the hood* Wait, I have an idea. Everyone get in. *Opens the passenger side for the kids, then goes around to the driver's side and gets in herself.*
Katie: How are we going to make Aunt Ursula get up if we don't have the keys?
Shelly: Mommy, could we do that imagining thing and bring the keys here?
Lauren: I don't want to take the chance. One of the devils may have the keys and notice them missing. I'm going to try something and see what happens...
Jordan: How long do you think it'll be before they notice that we turned those weird ladies into toys?
Robbie: They're cute!
Katie: They make much better teddy bears!
Shelly: Katie, can you do that sniffy thing? Like you do to find stuff at home?
Katie: (She sniffs) I don't smell anything besides Aunt Ursula an' us an' a lot of straw n' oil.
Lauren: That's good, at least. *reaches for the center console and rests her hand on it*
Robbie: What'cha doin'?
Ursula: (Lights up faintly) Ohhhh...ohhh my...
Lauren: Urse? It's Lauren and the kids.
Ursula: Alex...worked...me...last...night...
Lauren: *Groans* Great.
Little Mick: That bad man did something to Aunt Ursula, didn't he?
Katie: I wanna bite him!
Jordan: Katie, no! He'll try to hurt you, too!
Katie: I don't care! He did something to my mama and papa. Mama's hot n' she's mad, and Papa's all confused!
Ursula: Keep touching me. It seems to be working...
Lizzie: Auntie, Mommy's really scared, and Da's really hot an' scared.
Lauren: We have to find them somehow. Urse, what if the kids touched you, too?
Ursula: Worth a try...
Katie: We get to touch Aunt Ursula?
Robbie: We do?
Jordan: Daddy says I'm too young to drive!
Shelly: I think she means put your hand where Mommy's is. (Does so)
Lauren: Everyone put your hand around where mine is.
(The kids all climb up front and do as they're told, or at least as best they can, as it gets a bit crowded.)
Ursula: Now, all of you concentrate...
Katie: I'm gonna think of Mama an' Papa an' school, 'cause I like school.
Robbie: Miss Mama n' Papa!
Shelly: (She leans against her mother) I'm gonna think of my mommy n' daddy n' Onyx.
Leah: Love Mommy n' Daddy n' sisser n' brodder!
Lizzie: I love Mommy an' Da.
Jordan: I'm going to think of Mommy and Daddy and Austin and all our aunties and uncles!
Little Mick: Can I think about food, like Daddy does?
Lauren: Yeah, Mick, I think that'll work.
Katie: Should we close our eyes?
Lauren: Yes, I think that will help.
(The kids all do so. Little Mick scrunches his tighter than necessary. There's a huge blue light around the car and the center console. When it subsides, Ursula stands next to the car in human form, wearing a simple white gown that goes to her feet. Her blond hair is cropped very short, and except for the jagged scars on her cheeks, she's quite beautiful.)
Ursula: Hello, everyone.
Jordan: Hey, where did she come from?
Katie: Who are you, lady?
(Robbie just stares at her, his little mouth open.)
Ursula: I'm Aunt Ursula, Young Scholar. (She pats Katie on the head) You're just like your parents. Always suspicious.
Katie: (She pulls away) You can't be Aunt Ursula. She's in the car!
Ursula: Technically, I still am. All your good energy brought out my spirit. (Smiles at the twins) You've done that before. Katie was too little to remember, but you two might.
Shelly: (Nods at Little Mick) I think I remember a little bit. We were captured and in a park, an' we hugged a rock.
Ursula: I was the rock.
Lizzie: You're pretty, like a fairy.
Ursula: Thank you, Horsewoman, but I'm more like a ghost.
Lauren: Ursula, we need help. We have no idea where the others are. The only thing we have to go on is how we feel about them.
Ursula: I know. I heard Alex say he and my sister sent them to places where they wouldn't cause any harm. Where their powers would be so diminished, they wouldn't be able to cause any harm.
Katie: I just want them here!
Ursula: My sister wanted them out of the way, or at least so weakened that she'd be able to convert them to the Dark.
Lauren: We need to find them. *shivers* Mick's so cold...
Lizzie: My da's really hot!
Jordan: (Rubs his hand) Daddy's feeling dry. (Grins) Mommy's warm...and feeling happy.
Katie: Mama's not happy. Mama's mad!
Ursula: Cold... (Eyes widen) Lauren, what are Micky's powers based around?
Lauren: Fire, heat, that sort of thing.
Ursula: So where would Micky's power be least effective?
Lauren: Somewhere very cold...but where?
Ursula: Perhaps we should literally stop at the top with the Arctic Circle, and work our way down to Antarctica?
Lauren: Makes sense.
Ursula: I will travel with your spirit. The rest of you needs to remain here to take care of the children. They're too young to travel via spirit-world.
Lauren: *Nods* Okay.
Ursula: (Gently helps her out of the car) Take my hand and concentrate. I'll do the same.
Katie: What about us?
Ursula: We'll teach you to do this when you're a bit older.
Lauren: *Takes Ursula's hand* Ready, Urse.
Ursula: Concentrate on Micky and how you feel now.
Lauren: *closes her eyes even though she doesn't need to* Yes...
(There's a bright blue light around the two. When it subsides, Ursula is gone. Lauren is still there, but dazed. Alex walks in just as the light subsides.)
Alex: What the hell's going on? How did you get out here?
Lauren: Here? *blinks, realizing* Umm...sleepwalking?
Katie: We wanted to say "hi" to our car!
Jordan: Yeah, we love her! (He puts his arms around the dashboard as well as he can.)
Lizzie: She's a nice car!
Robbie: Good car!
Katie: Why are YOU out here?
Alex: Because I noticed you were all missing and my handmaidens were turned into teddy bears!
Katie: They're nicer that way!
Jordan: They don't scare me!
Robbie: Nice bears!
Alex: And completely of no use to me.
Shelly: Yeah, they are! You can hug them and give them tea and take them for walks in the park!
Lizzie: Or they can ride horsies!
Alex: Or I can turn them back and make them useful again.
Katie: They're not useful like that!
Jordan: They're just scary!
Shelly: An' they don't talk!
*Alex growls. There's a black light around the entire group, and they disappear.*
Sheila: (She enters, dressed in simpler day clothes) What was that all about? I thought I heard voices.
Alex: The Mother and the kids got past the handmaidens.
Sheila: We need to put more security around them. Not just the handmaidens, either. You did say you wanted to work on better security for the above-ground portions of the Ghost Town Complex anyway.
Alex: No kidding.
Sheila: Just tell me what you need, and I'll have it brought here. We can't have them trying to escape further. (Smirks) How did working on my sister go last night?
Alex: Very well, although I still have no clue how my brother got her into the car.
Sheila: Perhaps we can talk to the mother again later. She's close to her husband. She may know. (Smirks) And we have ways of persuading pregnant women without damaging their developing little ones.
Alex: Right.
Sheila: Ok, Alex, what will we need to make this amazing maze of yours more secure?
(Fade out as Sheila and Alex head for he work benches. Fade in on what appears at first to be total whiteness. We finally discern some snowflakes whirling around. The camera fades in on some blue light appearing in the blinding, swirling snow.)
Ursula: (We can just see her outline through the snow) Lauren, do you feel Micky yet?
Lauren: Faintly.
Ursula: Could you lead us to him? I'm a spirit and can't feel the cold...but you can, and so can he.
Lauren: I can certainly try. *points* This way...
(The two women trudge through the heavy snow. Ursula frowns.)
Ursula: I hope you're up to restoring him. He's especially sensitive to the cold.
Lauren: I'll do all I can to restore him, even if it wipes me out.
Ursula: (Smiles) You really do adore him, don't you?
Lauren: Of course I do!
Ursula: I'm glad to see all of you so happy with your soulmates. You and the Savage always did seem the happiest with each other.
Lauren: Aww... *suddenly pauses and looks around*
(Ursula frowns as we hear a deep, loud roar...even through the snow.)
Ursula: Um...tell me that was Micky's stomach.
Lauren: I wish it was. Micky's in trouble. I can feel it now!
Ursula: Lead us to him!
Lauren: This way! *heads off towards where the roar seemed to come from*
("Randy Scouse Git" begins as the two women follow the sound of the roar. At first, all we see is more of that blinding white snow. Then, suddenly, we see what looks like two little black buttons in the whiteness. Three black pads burst out of nowhere and aim for Lauren!)
*Lauren yelps and tries to dodge them.*
(Ursula concentrates. There's a blue light around the monster. The snow swirls quickly around it. It flails away, trying to swat the snow away. Ursula can't do big things in her spirit form, but she can play with snow. It should distract the monster long enough to find Micky!)
(They search along an ice shelf. Ursula finally points upwards....to something shivering under a blanket of snow on one of the higher shelves.)
*Lauren gasps and nods. That's Micky!*
(Ursula frowns. Could you imagine him down? She points to the monster. He's not going to be distracted much longer!)
*Lauren nods. I can't try! She concentrates. There's a blue light around the huddled mass. It appears practically at their feet in another blue light.*
(The monster sees the mass and goes after it again. Ursula and Lauren help Micky to his feet in time to duck away from the monster. Ursula concentrates again. This time, the monster stops dead in it's tracks.)
*Lauren looks to Ursula. What did you do to him?*
Ursula: (As the song ends; she's beginning to fade a little) I paralyzed him. It won't last forever, though. (Turns to Micky) You poor boy. Are you all right? What did that bloody beast do to you?
Micky: *hugs the blanket around him* Just...scared...crap...outta...me...freezing...
Lauren: Oh, Mick... *hugs him*
Ursula: (She and Lauren lean over him) Isn't there any way we can help him? You are his soulmate.
Lauren: *A blue light brightens as she hugs him* I'm trying...
(Ursula gently puts her arms around Micky as well.)
Micky: *Small smile* Thank...you...
Ursula: How do you feel now, Micky?
Micky: Better. How...find me?
Ursula: Ask your wife.
Micky: Don't...have to.
Ursula: Micky, are you feeling up to helping us with that (points at the monster) thing?
Micky: I can try...
Ursula: We'll lend you a hand, so to speak. (Sees the monster start to move) I can't hold him much longer!
(There's a blue light around the monster. When it subsides, he's now about the size of a small puppy.)
Lauren: He looks much better this way.
Ursula: He's rather attractive like that.
(The monster tries to run over to Micky and bite him...but he just ends up nibbling on his toes.)
*Micky swats him away.*
Ursula: (She's fading fast) You'll have to continue on to the next location on your own. (Turns to Micky) David is your best friend. What's his power...and what would weaken it?
Micky: It's water...
Ursula: (Fading) You'll have to...find him...on your own...try somewhere hot...volcano... (she's flickering)
Micky: We will, Urse!
(Ursula finally vanishes in a burst of blue light.)
Micky: Volcano!?
Lauren: Oh dear. If that's where he really is, we'd better hurry!
Micky: Babe, you are not going anywhere NEAR a volcano!
Lauren: But...
Micky: I can handle this, babe. You head back as well. I'll find everyone else.
Lauren: Okay, Mick. Be careful, huh? *kisses his cheek then disappears in a blue light*
*Micky grins as he disappears in his own blue light.*
(Cut to what looks like the bowl of a volcano. There's smoking coming out, and we hear noisy rumbles and belching. A blue light appears on the edge of the volcano, and Micky appears.)
Micky: *Swats at the air around him, then calls out* Davy!
Micky: *Glances around, in & out of the volcano; calls out again* Davy! Make some kind of noise if you're here and can hear me!
Davy's Voice: (From in the bowl of the volcano) Mate?
Micky: *Trying to pinpoint where his voice is coming from* Dave, where ARE you?
Davy's Voice: (To his right) Down here, mate! Help!
Micky: Down... *kneels down; eyes widen* Oh shit...hang on, Dave! *winces* Sorry!
Davy: (Looks up; he's literally hanging off the edge of the volcano) Very funny, mate.
Micky: I didn't...oh, hell. *thinks*
Davy: You wouldn't happen to have a rope or something else that's useful up there, by any chance? And hey, while we're at it, where the hell did you come from, how did I get here, and why do I feel like shit?
Micky: I’d like my own answers to most of those questions. *He concentrates. A rope appears in his hand; tosses one end of the rope down to Davy*
Davy: Thanks, mate. Help me give the old heave-ho here.
(Micky finally pulls Davy rather ungracefully onto the rim of the volcano.)
Micky: You okay, Dave?
Davy: (He wipes his face) It's hot down there, it is. I'm feeling so awful. It's like all the water's been sucked right out of me.
Micky: And I had all my heat drained. I ended up in the Arctic. Not fun.
Davy: What, you didn't start a snowball fight with the polar bears?
Micky: *Makes a face* No bears, just a big nasty monster that tried to make me into a human popsicle.
Davy: You mean the Yeti is real?
Micky: Apparently. Urse and Lauren can vouch for it. They found me.
Davy: Urse and Lauren? How did they manage that?
Micky: I didn't have a chance to ask.
Davy: Well, I'm glad they did. Did they say where the others were?
Micky: No, the others weren't mentioned. *sighs* How did this even happen? The last thing I remember...uh... *scratches his head* huh. I don't even remember much about the party.
Davy: I don't, either. I can't remember much of anything that happened after yesterday evening.
Micky: What's the last thing you remember?
Davy: Talkin' to Al Blueton...I think...
Micky: Man, I don't even remember seeing him after the party started. What was I drinking?
Davy: What were any of us drinking?
(That's when we hear a huge belch and see more smoke coming out of the volcano.)
Davy: (Coughs) Why do I have the feeling that wasn't you?
Micky: *Gulps* It wasn't. *glances into the volcano; his eyes widen* Oh, I don't like the looks of things down there!
Davy: (Also looks down as we hear a louder rumble from the volcano) We'd better get out of here! (He concentrates) Daph feels...warm, but dry. And she's really annoyed. Where would she end up?
Micky: *Concentrates as well* Good question. Let’s get out of here first, then we'll consider our options!
Davy: I'll take us to where I feel Daph. (He concentrates. The guys disappear just as sparks and lava start to fly out of the volcano.)
