Everyone ready to escape the pencil and rescue Lauren, the cars, and the kids? ;)
Mike: If we can get Mick to cooperate...
Peter: I'm ready.
Davy: Ready.
*Micky groans.*
(We open where we left - with the others in western garb, trying to talk Micky into getting them out.)
Peter: What if we helped you do it?
Micky: How?
Mike: I liked the idea of askin' the pencil to draw a door.
Peter: And you can concentrate on the door to take us home.
Micky: I don't know...I can't...concentrate...at all
Mike: We'll lend you some of our powers, then.
Emma: (Nods) Why do you think the devils did all this in the first place? They know we're weakest when we're alone.
Micky: *Groans as he rubs at his temples* Alright, fine.
Mike: (Sees the pencil again, eraser at the ready) And we've gotta do it fast, 'cause here he comes!
Micky: *looks up, wincing slightly* Mr. Pencil, wait... can we make a request?
(The pencil stops in mid-rub. It almost seems to look at Micky questioningly.)
Micky: Could you please draw us a door?
(The pencil hesitates for a minute...but then draws a rudimentary but quite clear door.)
Mike: Ain't pretty, but that's definitely a door.
Valerie: (Sees the pencil come again) And here it comes! We have to get out of here!
Mike: Micky, open the door! Everyone, grab hands and concentrate...and follow Micky outta here!
*Micky concentrates and opens the door.*
(The others concentrate as well. There's a blue light...and we land in what looks like the real-life area just outside the Ghost Town where we started off. Everyone is back in their regular MonkeeLeague uniforms.)
Mike: (Brushes himself off and grins, looking around) Damn, I think we did it.
Peter: Good work, Micky!
*Micky just groans, holding his head again.*
Davy: He did it, but he looks in worse shape now.
Mike: Wanna ride on my back? We're gonna fly back to the Ghost Town. It's the fastest way outside of usin' our powers, but they might be too obvious now.
*Micky nods.*
Peter: (Valerie gets on his back; he picks up Emma) I'll take the girls. I think I can handle both of them.
Emma: I don't know, Peter. I'm an awful big girl.
Davy: *Grins* Peter's pretty strong, too, though he may not look it.
Emma: Well, all right. (Peter picks up Emma and Valerie gets on his back. Daphne gets on Davy's back.)
Mike: You on there, Mick?
Micky: *Adjusts his grip* Yeah...I am...
Mike: Ok, buddy. Hold on! (They all take off into the wide, blue Arizona sky. The camera follows them as they soar into the distance...but it pans down to reveal an unfamiliar motorcycle bumping along the highway near the Ghost Town. Cut to the Mustang, which arrives in the Workshop in the blacksmith's barn.)
Sheila: (Frowns as the motorcycle pulls into the Ghost Town) Do you recognize that vehicle, Alex?
(She frowns even more on seeing Al Blueton take off his helmet and step off the bike.)
Sheila: What's he doing here? I thought we fixed his memory.
Alex: I thought so, too.
*Al glances around, obviously looking for someone or something.*
Alex: Perhaps we should be the welcome wagon?
Sheila: Yes, perhaps we should. (She walks out of the barn to greet him) Hello? Mr. Blueton?
(She walks up to Al, frowning.)
Sheila: Hello, Mr. Blueton. What brings you out here to the middle of the desert?
(Sheila puts her hands on her hips and makes a face.)
Al: Well, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed my little job for you.
Sheila: (Raises an eyebrow) I'm really glad to hear that. You enjoyed the catering, did you?
Al: Of course.
Sheila: How did the party with the Monkees go?
Al: Very well. I did the job with little issue.
Sheila: You...did? How did it go?
Al: Quite well. Some of them were drunk enough that they went away very easily.
Sheila: So we've noticed. They've shown up here. We just got rid of them again.
Al: They did? But I sent all of them away!
Sheila: That's what we thought. They somehow managed to find their way back. (Smirks) We sent them to a place where they'll NEVER be able to escape from.
Al: Interesting.
Sheila: Now, we just need to find their damn children. They've managed to spirit the Mother away.
Sheila: (Narrows her eyes) Tell me how you remember what you did.
Al: *Shrugs, grinning* I just do.
Sheila: What made you want to come back here?
Al: I liked my job for you. I'm scraping by with the catering. Almost anything would be better.
Sheila: Well, we could always use some more help...
Alex: *Nods* Especially help that actually has some brain power.
Sheila: No kidding. (She leads Al to the workshop, where Alex tinkers at a work bench. He glances cautiously at Al as they enter)
Alex: So we have a recruit?
Sheila: Certainly sounds like it.
(Sheila pushes past Al and over to Alex. His work bench is strewn with various odd tools and blueprints.)
Sheila: Alex is working a couple of, er, cars we've picked up that are being stubborn.
Al: Stubborn? How so?
Sheila: They won't...behave...for us.
(Sheila peers around Alex, trying to see what he's doing.)
Alex: Need a larger viewing field, Milady?
Sheila: (Ignores him) Alex, have you figured out yet how we're going to get...you know...out of the car yet?
Alex: I'm still working on it.
Sheila: (Turns to Al) Mr. Blueton, you're a man of science as well as cooking. Do you know anything about cars?
Al: I know a little, yes.
Sheila: We're trying to remove a...um, foreign object...from one of the cars, but we can't figure out how.
Al: Foreign object? Where is it?
Sheila: As far as we know, in the dashboard.
Al: Dashboard, huh.
Alex: I've looked at the dash from every angle & can't figure it out.
Sheila: We've been trying for years to find this bloody thing, and now that we've found it...we can't get at it!
Al: Interesting.
Sheila: We've tried everything we can think of, and it's still stuck in there!
(That's when the wind suddenly kicks up...and seven familiar figures fly into the barn!)
Mike: (Lands next to Alex and Al; lets Micky off) Just what are you doin', boy?
Alex: How in the hell did you get back here again!?
Peter: (He lets Emma down, the lets Valerie get off; Davy does the same with Daphne) Micky got friendly with the pencil.
Mike: Al? What are you doin' here?
Al: Seeing if they need any help.
Mike: I thought you were goin' for help for us!
Al: And you believed that?
Mike: (Grabs Al by his collar) Damn it, you little nerd! You've done enough to us!
Peter: Sheila, where's our children, Lauren, and the cars?
Valerie: Micky can't feel her anymore! You took her soul!
Sheila: Actually, Alex did.
Alex: Yes, I did.
Micky: BASTARD! *darts for Alex*
(Emma and Daphne duck out of the way as "Mommy and Daddy" begins.)
*Alex tries to dodge Micky, but Micky catches him & they go tumbling.*
(Mike struggles with Al. Emma and Valerie search the premises for any sign of the cars, the kids, or Lauren.)
*Daphne goes after Sheila.*
Sheila: (After Daphne lands on her) Oof! Have you been working out, Huntress?
(Peter searches the area around the work bench for signs of the cars...or that Alex has figured out a way to get Ursula out of the car...)
Daphne: *Grins* You bet I have!
Sheila: (Groans) Wonderful. Of all the bloody... (screams over the music) HANDMAIDENS! WE NEED YOU!
(Handmaidens do, indeed, appear almost as if by magic, coming from under trap doors. Zelda runs in from the main entrance.)
Emma: (Turns to Zelda) You! What are you doing down here?
Zelda: I'm here to help out, of course.
Emma: You keep away from them! (She jumps on Zelda)
(Peter makes his Emerald Crossbow appear and starts shooting handmaidens. He shoots one and turns it into a horseshoe, which he hangs over a door for good luck.)
(Mike throws Al into a stack of hay bales, then makes his Diamond Broadsword appear and attacks handmaidens, more disarming them than anything.)
(Davy jumps on Alex's other side to help Micky out.)
(Valerie throws hay bales at handmaidens. She drops a horse collar over another when she tries to grab her.)
(Emma and Zelda cat fight, tearing at each other's hair and clothing.)
(Mike grabs tools off the bench and throws them at the handmaidens. He knocks a whole row of them over, like dominoes.)
*Al crawls out from behind the hay bales, along the back wall... when he finds a small trap door. He pulls the door open and goes in.*
(Mike sees him and follows him into the trap door. The music is more muffled as the "romp" continues behind them.)
*The room they enter is dark. Al stands, and there's a moment before a small light comes on. He holds a small penlight to his face as he looks around, then moves the light around the room...*
(Mike follows him as quietly as possible, his Diamond Broadsword at the ready.)
*Al's light lands on the MonkeeMobile first, then Rosemarie. We hear him gasp, recognizing the cars.*
Al: *Whispers to himself* I gotta get the others...
Mike: You don't need to. (He walks in front of the light) Al, what's goin' on?
Al: *Jumps and staggers a little, gasping for breath* Mike! Gosh darn it, don't scare me like that! You're lucky I wasn't planning on doing anything with those years anyway.
Mike: Sorry, Al. (Sighs) What's goin' on? What are you doin' here? Where's the cops?
Al: I talked to Nielson. I came up with the idea of coming in as a decoy to see what I could find out by making them think I was still under their control. Nielson's on his way, if he isn't here already.
Al: And all of you showed up so my plan wasn't necessary anymore.
Mike: Maybe it is. Al...we've lost Lauren and our kids. These cretins let them loose, so they're runnin' around somewhere. (Deep breath) And they may have hurt Lauren. Remember what Em was like in the spring after those pirates attacked your boat?
Al: *Nods* Yeah, I remember. That's horrible. Maybe if I hang around, I can find them.
Mike: So...you ain't with them?
Al: No, I'm not. I'm trying to help you guys.
Mike: (Nods) Thanks, man.
Al: You're welcome. *motions to the cars* And, we found these.
Mike: Yeah. (He concentrates; the keys appear in his hands) Ok, what I'm about to tell you can't be revealed to anyone else. No one. Got that?
(Mike climbs into the MonkeeMobile and turns the keys in the ignition.)
Ursula: Hello, White Knight. (Frown in her voice) Isn't that your friend Al?
Mike: Yeah, Urse. He's ok. Al, meet Ursula and Rosemarie.
Al: They... talk!?
Mike: Yeah, they do. You drive?
Al: Of course! Though I do prefer a motorcycle, I'm quite adept with cars.
Mike: (Tosses Al the other set of keys) You drive Rosemarie.
Al: *Catches the keys* Thanks! *Slides into Rosemarie and starts her up*
Rosemarie: Hello there, cutie.
Al: Uh, hi, uh, Rosemarie.
Rosemarie: Just call me Rosie. Everyone does. *pauses* I like you sitting in my driver's seat. You'll have to drive me more often.
Al: I'm being hit-on by a car.
Mike: That's Micky's sense of humor for 'ya. He more-or-less built her. (Turns around) Ok Al, follow me. We've gotta pick up the others and go find the kids.
Al: *Chuckling a bit* Right behind you, Mike.
(Cut to the main room. Alex and Micky are still grappling, as are Daphne and Sheila. Two handmaidens are about to grab Peter, and another one wrestles with Valerie. Zelda pushes Emma off of her and reaches for Peter's crossbow...just as both cars burst through the wall in an explosion of splinters and dust and into the main room!)
Mike: All aboard!
Emma: You found them! (She scrambles over to the cars; Mike opens the door to let her in the seat next to him)
Sheila: NO! NO! ALEX, YOU HAD THOSE CARS WELL HIDDEN!
(Everyone scrambles into the cars. Mike looks over his shoulder at Al.)
Mike: Just keep followin' me, man.
Al: Will do!
(The cars burst through the main door of the shop and just keep going. Sheila stumbles over to Alex.)
Sheila: Blast it, we've lost the cars! You little fool!
Alex: Me!? Those cars WERE well hidden!
Sheila: Obviously not! Now we have to find them! (Smirks) But we still have the Mother's soul...and they'll have to find that, too.
Alex: We still have that collateral. They will be back.
Sheila: Yes. They'll be back. (We end with the two laughing evilly as the camera focuses on the car-shaped hole in the door....and the burn marks on the road.)
