Everyone ready for some fun?
Mike: I don't like the sound of her voice.
Peter: I don't like any of this!
Micky: I'm game. Show me your worst.
Davy: Don't tempt them, mate. :P
*Micky shrugs.*
(We open with Mike, Peter, Emma, Valerie, and the five Goodtimers in the basement. Valerie frowns as she pokes at the hastily-covered hole.)
Valerie: I think someone's been in here.
Mike: What? I thought you said no one knew about this but you girls n' us!
Emma: (Nods) She's right. The rug isn't in the right spot.
Peter: Good. Let's go back in the hotel and wait for the others to come back.
Sam: Where's the fun in that?
Mike: (Sniffs and make a face) I don't like this. My stomach's actin' up. I think Sheila n' Alex have been through this way.
Emma: Great.
Peter: That's it, I'm NOT going! I don't want them to take...hurt me!
Valerie: Honey, it'll be ok. We'll keep an eye on each other.
Johnny: Besides, we're with you! ;)
Sam: Johnny, you're supposed to make them feel BETTER!
*Johnny shrugs.*
Mike: (Sighs as we hear the rain pound the grimy windows under everyone's chuckles) We'd probably be safer anywhere BUT this pile of rocks n' stucco anyway. I don't care what the Martinez brothers say. One good storm, and this hotel will collapse like a one of Micky's sandwiches after he adds the fifteenth layer. I'm goin' in. (He pulls the rug off and jumps down)
Emma: Honey, wait! (Emma follows him)
Sam: Me too. Boys? *the other Goodtimers nod and follow*
Peter: (Looks at Valerie) Val, I have a bad feeling about this. This place has some really horrible vibes. People DIED here, Val!
Valerie: Peter, we'll make sure nothing happens to you or anyone else. You know Mike won't let those devils touch his family. (Smiles) And I won't, either.
Peter: Promise?
Valerie: (Takes his hand) Promise. (Nods at the hole) Now, come on! We need to catch up! (She goes in, followed by Peter more tentatively.)
(Cut to a long, crumbling tunnel covered with moss, dirt, and roots. We see the beams of flashlights as the group wanders down the passageway.)
Peter: We've been walking forever!
Mike: Pete, it's been ten minutes.
Emma: I wonder what this was?
Valerie: (Flashes her light on the walls, indicating several reliefs depicting various day-to-day activity, including what looks like religious services) I think we found a temple.
Peter: (Gulps) T...t...temple? No wonder I sense bad vibes! The Aztecs practiced human sacrifice in their temples!
Emma: It might not be that, Peter. Maybe we're in a school building. The Aztecs were very big on education, and all their children went to school.
Valerie: Or in a palace.
Mike: Or a craftman's shop or somethin'. Not everything they did involved nasty stuff like killin' people, Pete.
Valerie: Or maybe it's a temple, but they never did anything worse than the wrong move during a ceremony here. :)
(They walk out onto a ledge overlooking a central room. The room is surrounded by the same crumbling rock walls as the tunnel, but the room is decorated with ornate pillars and flourishes. A huge, reddish stone table sits in the center of the room, rusty shackles hanging on either side. Huge stone seats surround the rest of the room, including the largest in the very front of the table, behind a raised stone stand. Everything is covered with dust, dirt, and roots.)
Charlie: Oh, wow!
Peter: Oh, my...
Mike: This must be the temple's central room, where they did all their ceremonies.
Valerie: This is amazing!
Mike: I don't believe this.
Peter: (Closes his eyes) The aura is so dark...
*Sam whistles.*
Valerie: We've got to get back up to the surface and tell Carmelita and her brothers about this!
Mike: (Nods) I don't like goin' back to the hotel, but I'm pickin' up on Pete's bad vibes. I don't like the scent of this place.
Valerie: After we get back to the surface, we'll tell Carmelita the good news and try to make some headway in clearing out of the hotel. Maybe we could rent a car or borrow one somehow.
Emma: (Shivers) This place is giving me the creeps, and I have a really nasty stomachache. Must be ind... (she stops, her eyes widening) Oh, shit.
Mike: (Nods) Sheila musta come back, probably with her tame Mexican official.
Valerie: That's it. We're getting out of here. NOW.
(The entire group turns around and goes back the way they came...but Mike stops suddenly when he sees flashlight beams coming from the opposite direction.)
Mike: Damn it! (The lights get closer; we see the outline of a tall, slim woman with red hair and a large group of men in khaki military uniforms)
Peter: Michael, what are going to do?
Emma: (She pulls at the wall, managing to pull some of it away) In here! Everyone! (She shoos the entire crowd into the room)
(The room is large, though not as much as the central room, with dusty, dirty stone tables.)
Valerie: Maybe it was some sort of meeting room or burial chamber.
Peter: That was close!
Mike: We have too many of those nick-of-time escapes.
Emma: My heart can't take it.
Peter: (He looks over his shoulder...and his eyes widen) G..guys...
Mike: Not now, Pete! We've gotta think of a way we can get past Sheila and her goons.
Peter: MICHAEL!
Emma: Alex wasn't with Sheila earlier. I wonder where he went?
Peter: MICHEAL, LOOK! (Grabs Mike's arm and whips him around)
*Alex gives them a wave, grinning evilly.* >:) ;)
Mike: (Growls) Shoulda known you'd be waitin' for us.
Valerie: Alex, how did you know we were here?
Alex: Wild guess.
Mike: So, whatcha gonna do 'bout it? There are nine of us and one of you.
Valerie: (Looks at the Goodtimers) Charge him. Run him over, and don't hesitate to make lots of marks. ;)
*The guys exchange glances and grin.* ;)
Mike: And I'll lead the charge.
Peter: Guys, are you sure this is a good idea? He hasn't hurt us yet!
Sam: Would you like to give him a chance to?
(As the group charges, the wall behind the Goodtimers suddenly caves in. The group clears away from the dust and debris, revealing Sheila, Parador in his military uniform, and the vague shapes of other Mexican men in military costumes.)
Sheila: Couldn't you have just used the door? :p
Parador: No time, Sheila. We have business to conduct.
Alex: That entrance was more fun anyway. ;)
Sheila: Alex, did you find it?
Alex: *shakes his head* Not yet.
Parador: (Narrows his eyes) You promise me Sun Stone, Sheila.
Sheila: I said we'd found the ruins, NOT the bloody stone!
Mike: Whoa, time-out, back up here. What's all this about a Sun Stone?
Parador: That's no concern of yours, peasant boy.
Mike: What didja just call me? X(
Peter: Oh dear. That was bad.
Parador: I want that Sun Stone! I want it NOW.
Mike: Good. You want it. We'll leave. (He starts for the door, but two of Parador's men block him)
Parador: No can do. You and your odd friends know too much.
Sheila: (Mutters) Since when?
Mike: Ok, then, what in the HELL do you think we're gonna do, stand around and let you kill us?
Alex: It WOULD make things much easier.
(Peter frowns and closes his eyes, nodding at Valerie. There's a blue light around Parador. When it subsides, we see him standing in nothing but his military cap, socks, and polka-dot boxers.)
Parador: (As his men snicker) This is not fun! How did this happen?
(There's a dark blue light around his men...and now THEY wear nothing but their underwear and socks.)
(Emma concentrates. There's a dark blue light around Sheila...and SHE stands in her socks, bra, and silky, lacy underwear. Parador's men wolf-whistle and call out lewd names in Spanish. Even Parador ogles her trim behind and breasts.)
(Mike grins and concentrates on Alex...and when it subsides, he's in HIS underwear and socks. His underwear has little teddy bears on it. Parador's men all snicker, and Parador puts a hand over his mouth to suppress his laugher. Sheila giggles. Mike doubles over laughing.)
Alex: Aw, crap.
Mike: We're gettin' outta here, you jerks! (He repeats this in Spanish with a salute, then makes a dark blue light appear around the entire group, which vanishes)
Parador: (Gasps) Where did they go? How did they do that?
(The men all look around in surprise and shock.)
Sheila: Never mind that! The important thing is, we have to catch them!
Parador: But how? We do not know where they go!
Alex: Dammit!
Sheila: They're probably in the temple somewhere, searching for the Sun Stone. It would be foolish to go back up to the surface with that storm going at full tilt. The crumbling ruins down here are likely far safer than the crumbling ruins up THERE. :p
Parador: Let's find them, then! (Turns to his men) Find them! Search every tunnel, every room, until you find them and that Sun Stone! When you find, bring Stone and them to me! (As he turns and walks out) And find me clothes! I am cold like this! :p
Sheila: (Sighs; there's a black light around her, and she's back in her clothes) This is proving to be most annoying. I'd think of a way to get rid of Parador, but we need his men.
Alex: *black light around him* Agreed on all accounts.
Sheila: We'll probably be able to catch up with them eventually, but it's a matter of making sure they don't escape once we DO catch up with them.
Alex: Which is easier said then done.
Sheila: That Sun Stone could be of some use. At least dampen their powers until we can get a hold of them and do some...work...of our own.
(There's the sound of people stamping on the ground outside...and the eerie wailing and pounding of rain and wind upstairs.)
Sheila: Shall we join the merry chase, luv? They could use a little black magic right now. ;)
Alex: Why not? Might be fun. ;) >:)
(Sheila and Alex walk into the melee as "This Just Doesn't Seem to Be My Day" begins. The stop short at the sight of Goodtimers chasing officers in boxers, officers in boxers chasing Peter and Valerie, Parador chasing Mike and Emma, and everyone occasionally running into the walls and each other.)
(Emma shines a light on the wall, inspecting a large hole in it. One of the officers joins her. She points in the hole, and he looks in. She pushes him in the hole and hurries off. The hole actually makes a burping noise.)
(Peter builds a tower with some of the loose bricks. Mike and Parador accidentally knock it down as they try to make their way around the tunnels and the rooms. Peter cries until Valerie joins him to rebuild his tower.)
*The Goodtimers scatter, letting officers chase them. They run back and forth, criss-crossing, getting closer and closer. Eventually, the officers start running into each other, while the Goodtimers watch, standing off to one side.*
(Mike ducks in, out, and around Paramor, finally going under his legs, knocking him over. He bawls orders from the ground, pointing in Mike's direction.)
(Emma runs into the main room and hurries over to Mike, who runs in at the same time. They feel around the walls, but find nothing, no place where a gem might be hidden. Peter and Valerie continue to build in the central room. The tower has now been joined by a whole city-full of them...including one brick that is rounded, yellowish, and sort of shiny...)
(Sheila and Alex feel along the wall in the dark tunnel, also looking for the Sun Stone. Suddenly, Alex draws back, holding his finger. Sheila shines her light to reveal where two large stones fell and pinched Alex's fingers.)
(Mike and Emma search the area with the stone chairs. Mike eyes the stone table warily, then shudders and avoids it.)
(Five officers lean over the five Goodtimers, looking like they're going to jump them.)
*Each of the Goodtimers turn and point away from them, causing the officers to look. Then each of the guys take a swing at an officer, taking out all five.*
(The Goodtimers lift Paramor over their heads and toss him in another hole in the wall.)
(Emma and Mike have joined Peter and Valerie as the Goodtimers catch up with them. They're now surrounded by towers of bricks.)
Mike: (Looks up as the music ends) Did you find anything?
Valerie: I'm wondering if we've hit a dead end. We should just be glad we found these ruins.
Peter: I don't know about "glad"... (shudders)
Mike: (Leans down, indicating one of those rocks) Hey, I think that rock's kinda glowin'.
Emma: It is!
Peter: But that's my foundation!
Mike: Sorry, Pete, but the tower's gonna have to come down. (He takes the rock out, making them tumble to the ground...and the yellow rock glows more brightly)
Sheila: (As she and Alex run over, attracted by the light) What's that?
Valerie: Peter, that's it! I think you found it!
Peter: Me?
Sam: That's some rock!
Sheila: Give it to me! (She grabs Mike's arm; the two of them struggle for possession of the rock, attracting the attention of Alex as Parador and his men run in, now back in khaki)
Parador: (His face turns red; bawls) GET THAT STONE! THAT THE STONE WE’RE AFTER!
(Everyone jumps on Mike and Sheila at once. There's a few quick shots of arms crushing Mike before Sheila finally comes out with the Sun Stone, Alex on her heels.)
Sheila: Ah HAH!
Mike: Sheila, put it down. You don't know what you're doin'. (Three of Parador's men hold the struggling musician as he glares at her)
Alex: On the contrary.
Emma: Mike! Baby, I'm comin'! (She starts for him, but one of Parador's men grab HER. Two block Valerie and Peter against the stone table; the others grab the Goodtimers.)
Parador: These children annoy me. They meddle where they should not.
Sheila: They've been a thorn in my side for three years now.
Mike: Yeah, and I'm gonna make you eat those thorns, you god-damn devil BITCH!
Parador: That one particularly annoys me. He talks when he should be quiet. Feed them all to the crocodiles.
Emma: What?
Peter: I don't want to be crocodile lunch!
Roy: Hey, that wasn't part of the deal!
Sam: I don't like this.
Sheila: I don't want to waste these fine young people on your pets, Juan. No offense to your lovely...um...lizards, but these young people may be of some use to us yet. >:)
Parador: (Ogles Emma and Valerie) I could use some nice senorita mistresses in my offices to keep me amused.
Emma: Sorry, pal, but insane Central American dictators aren't my type.
Valerie: I'm sure the local population could suffice.
Parador: They are not like you, Senoritas. You are rare creatures, light, round, fair. Much different from women here. They are pretty, but a dime a dozen.
Mike: (Growls) DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT, YOU NUTJOB! X(
Sheila: You shouldn't worry yourself about them, White Knight. I have plans for you.
Mike: I want no part of them.
Sheila: I don't think you have much of a choice now, Knight. You don't want your precious wife and friends to spend their last days in lizard's belly, do you?
Peter: Michael, no!
Parador: I have a wonderful idea. Why don't we hold some of them for ransom? The gold-hair boy, red-hair girl, and all of the black men will be our ace in holes. Your so-called "knight" will cooperate if he wishes them to live. >:)
Sheila: An excellent plan, Juan. We'll do just that. (Grins) Then, we will prepare for a ceremony that will revive the spirit of your ancestors! ;)
Parador: I will not allow human sacrifice on this land. Too messy. I would rather do it the straight way and feed them to my pets.
Sheila: Oh, we're not going to kill him, Juan.
(Sheila looks at Alex, winks, and makes her claws briefly appear.)
Paramor: It won't be as much fun as feeding my pets.
Alex: It'll be a different kind of fun. ;) >:)
Sheila: We'll have costumes, more people, the whole works!
Mike: Man, are you guys crazy?
Sheila: (Runs her finger under Emma's chin as she struggles) And Senor Nesmith's beloved wife will witness the ceremony.
Mike and Emma: (In Unison) WHAT?
Emma: No! No!
Mike: Are you kiddin'? (He tries to pull away, but the officers who hold him knock his feet out from under him and grab his head)
Parador: I grow tired. Take them away. We will prepare for ceremony.
Peter: No! You're going to hurt Michael!
Mike: Damn you, Sheila! X(
(They lead the group away, Mike cursing in Spanish. Sheila joins Alex.)
Sheila: It shouldn't take long to make all the necessary preparations. We could easily contact home and my handmaidens while Parador and his men lock up the others.(Looks at Alex) Could you make all the necessary...preparations...on your end? After all, with that storm up there...
Alex: *nods* Of course.
Sheila: Good. (Frowns) One thing bothers me. We only have half the group. Where's your twin, the Lord of the Manor, and their wives, not to mention those idiot Mexican brothers? :p
Alex: I'm sure they're around here somewhere. :P
Sheila: We'll have to post men to keep an eye out for them, too, possibly send some up to the surface to check for them.
Alex: Right.
Sheila: Come on. (Grins wickedly) Let's get ready for our little soul-taking ceremony. >:)
(The two Devils follow Parador's men out of the central room, arm in arm.)
