HOLLYWOOD, CA - Fans of television's "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" won't want to miss the live version performed (most) Thursday nights at The Hollywood Improv. But, it isn't necessary to have seen the television show in order to leave The Improv with stomach muscles aching from laughing.
As on the show, Drew Carey & cohorts perform comedic skits based on suggestions taken from the audience. The show is limited only by the audience's creativity. In the Improv showroom's small, intimate setting, the stars & audience interact to enhance the performances, more than is apparent on the on-air version. It's easier to feel a part of the show when the performers can actually look you in the eye and perhaps even use one of your suggestions.
This show is definitely a crowd pleaser. Scott Hulme, a senior at USC, described the comedic exhibition as "super-terrific -- quality entertainment".
"Amazing how they never fail to come up with something funny -- no matter what ridiculous situation they find themselves trying to portray," said another audience member.
Indeed, it takes quite the talent to tickle a room of funny bones with funny dialogue on the spot every week. However, Drew Carey & company deliver. So anyone looking for a night of good comedy simply can't go wrong with the quick wit of Drew & his friends.
Just go & try to keep from laughing. I dare you!
