Ready for the factory, ladies?

Lauren: Yeah. ;)

Daphne: I'm ready!

Valerie: Me too.

(We open with a wide shot of the Moonglow Cosmetics Factory. It's cleaner, brighter, and more up-to-date than the factory seen in "Head Trip," and here and there we see large computers and people in lavender or sky-blue jumpsuits working on them. The girls all wear lavender jumpsuits as they follow Blossom, whose jumpsuit is cotton-candy pink. Inspector Honeywell wears a sky-blue jumpsuit.)

Blossom: Here you are, ladies (nods at Honeywell) and Inspector Honeywell. As you can see, we run one of the safest factories in all of California and use only the most up-to-date methods to make our cosmetics.

(We pass by a room where women run machines that seem to be mixing strange-smelling liquids.)

Valerie: They smell like (she sniffs, then grins) Summer Rose Garden perfume.

Blossom: That's where we make it.

Emma: Where do you make the Fountain of Youth Skin Cream?

Blossom: That's still in the experimental stage, so it's in a smaller room near the labs. (Nods at Honeywell) I hope you're finding this all to your health standards, Inspector Honeywell.

Emma: (Mutters to Lauren) I can't believe Honeywell managed to pass himself off as a health inspector!

Lauren: Me either.

Emma: I really wish he hadn't insisted on coming. All he ever does is get into trouble.

Lauren: Can't we lock him in a room or at least lose him somewhere?

Emma: He's probably perfectly capable of doing that himself.

Lauren: *grins* Couldn't hurt to help him a little.

Emma: Why don't we take care of two birds with one stone? Blossom can have him.

Lauren: Excellent idea.

Emma: But before we ditch both of them...(she runs up front) Blossom? Miss Lilyfair?

Blossom: Yes, Mrs. Naysmythe?

Emma: Nesmith. Anyway, I wanted to ask you more about the factory.

Blossom: Go right ahead. I'll answer any of your questions, or any questions any of you have.

Emma: What chemicals are you mixing with the ground pearl and plant juices to create the Fountain of Youth cream?

Blossom: (Shakes her head) I'm sorry, that information is confidential. (Grins) We don't want competitors snatching up our secrets!

Emma: You'll have to list the ingredients on your skin care products. It's the law.

Inspector Honeywell: She's right, ma'am.

Blossom: (Grits her teeth, but smiles) You'll find out when the line is released.

Emma: I want to address some rumors I've heard about your factory.

Blossom: What rumors?

Emma: The ones about factory workers disappearing?

Blossom: (Shakes her head) They went on vacation. They were well-compensated.

Emma: And never came back?

Blossom: My workers are some of the highest-paid of any factory employees in the United States!

Emma: I'm not saying you don't pay them. I'm saying they aren't around to enjoy the benefits.

Blossom: I wouldn't harm my workers.

Emma: Unless they knew something you don't want them telling the general public.

Valerie: Or they showed the results of some testing that you weren't crazy about.

Blossom: (Narrows her eyes) I don't like what you're implying, ladies. I wouldn't harm my workers.

Emma: Unless they got in your way.

Blossom: Remember, ladies, this is MY factory. You're here at MY request. You can leave at my request, too.

Inspector Honeywell: (Grabs Blossom's arm) Miss Lilyfair, why don't you tell me more about your perfume rooms? They smell so wonderful! I really am interested in the process.

Blossom: Well, I.... (But he directs her around the corner before she can even talk)

Valerie: Whew! Got rid of both of them. Maybe Honeywell has some use after all.

Lauren: *nods* Well, I'm amazed.

Valerie: That should give us enough time to check the labs and offices. We need to find out what happened to those missing workers. I doubt she'd have them killed - that would be risking her reputation and that of her company - but she may have hidden them somewhere, or she really did pay them off.

Emma: I wouldn't be surprised if she had them killed. :p

Valerie: I know she got you mad, Em, but calm down.

Emma: She got on my nerves!

Valerie: But Em, she's right. We are here on invitation. She can kick us out if she wants to.

Emma: Why don't we go find the labs, before I kick something or imagine my field hockey stick here?

Valerie: (Nods and sighs) Let's do that.

("She" begins as the girls split into pairs and head for the labs. Valerie and Emma duck into the first lab...but are chased out by several dogs and their handlers!)

*Lauren and Daphne go into another lab. Lauren starts swapping around the containers while Daphne distracts the workers.*

(Emma and Valerie find an empty lab. They admire rows of newly-tested eye shadow and lip gloss. Valerie tries a pink shade. Emma tries some brown eye shadow.)

(Emma peers into another lab. She sees more people working on perfume...and is accidentally squirted with some. She ends up coughing and pulling out.)

*In another lab, Daphne and Lauren create a mural on one of the walls with the make-up.*

(Valerie and Emma stop by one of the computers. Valerie sits in front of the huge console and types some words into it. Emma leans over her, fascinated.)

(Valerie and Emma end up playing what looks like a primitive version of "Asteroids" on the computer. Valerie keeps winning, much to Emma's frustration.)

(Valerie peers into a room this time. The room is empty except for nothing but a chemistry set. Emma grins and indicates the set. If Micky can make something, why can't they? The two mix some potions into a bottle. Valerie then holds it over a Bunsen burner. Emma frowns. Um, is it supposed to smoke like that? Valerie quickly turns off the burner, and they put the beaker of liquid aside and get out of the lab as quickly as possible!)

*As an explosion rocks the hallway. Lauren holds up a sign reading "9.5."*

(The girls reconvene as smoke fills the hallway and the music ends.)

Emma: Hoo boy. That may have been a stupid move.

Valerie: No wonder Mick's always making things blow up. We can't figure chemistry out, either.

Lauren: Who said that he couldn't?

Emma: Let's try the offices. At least they'll be quieter.

Valerie: And less conspicuous.

(The girls enter the office area. It's done in the same shades of deep blue and lavender as they lobbies of the Moonglow Cosmetics Headquarters.)

Emma: Val, go on the computer terminal and see what you can find. Lauren and Daphne, check the shelves. I'll check the desk. There has to be SOMETHING that says what's in the Fountain of Youth Cream that's causing rashes and wrinkles and what happened to those missing workers!

*Lauren and Daphne check the shelves.*

Valerie: (Types into the terminal) Hmm. We're going to have to make some random guesses on passwords...

Emma: (She's feeling around in the desk) There's nothing here but papers, notes, letters, and... (starts reading through some of the items) publicity for the upcoming fashion show.

Daphne: Just a bunch of books here.

Emma: (She's reading some of the letters) This could be interesting...

Lauren: I don't see any...whoa! *the bookshelf opens like a door and she falls through the passageway*

Emma: (Runs to her friend, still holding the papers) Lauren, are you ok?

Valerie: (Peers in the bookshelf) She found a secret entrance!

Lauren: *gets up, dusting herself off* Just fine! I always make my entrances like that!

Valerie: (Goes further in) It's a room! It's not an entranceway!

Emma: Good, we'll be less likely to get lost that way.

Valerie: Come on. (They all follow her into the room. It's another lab, like the one they left, but smaller. There are bright-colored plants like the rare ones at Blossom's home, tubs of chemicals, and pots of pearls and what looks like luminescent dust everywhere.)

Emma: By jove, I do believe we've found it!

Valerie: Eureka! This is where the creams are made!

Emma: (Holds up a jar) And here's one of them.

Valerie: Lauren, do you recognize any of these chemicals?

Lauren: Truthfully, I don't know what they are. I just know which colors to not mix together.

Emma: I guess you wouldn't know what would happen if I mixed this color (holds up a reddish potion) with the pearl dust.

Valerie: (Sniffs the chemicals) They smell sweet, like the plants, but not as fruity.

Lauren: I can safely say that Mick has not dealt with pearl dust.

Emma: We need to bring back some samples of these chemicals to Desmond and Maura Pennyman.

Valerie: (Looks at Lauren) Why don't we do it? I took chemistry in high school, and I'm sure you've watched Mick handle his chemicals.

Lauren: *nods* Okay.

(Just as Valerie and Lauren finish gathering beakers of three or four chemical samples, we hear voices outside the door.)

Emma: It's Blossom! I think I hear Honeywell, too!

Daphne: Oh no!

(A group of large men in sky-blue jumpsuits burst into the room, followed by a very angry Blossom Lilyfair holding Honeywell by the crook of his arm.)

Blossom: (Growls) That's it, ladies. I want explanations. And I want them NOW.

(We end with this tense standoff as the women exchange helpless looks and Honeywell just looks embarrassed.)
