Ok, everyone ready to find that treasure? ;) :D

Peter: Yeah! For Paul and Violetta's sake! :D

(Mike groans. :p)

Micky: I am!

Davy: Me too, mates. :)

(We open in the passageway, at first in the dark. Gradually, beams of light come into view...and then human figures. ;) )

Tilly: (Whining) We've been walking for HOURS! When does this thing END? :p

Marcus: Tilly, we've been in here for twenty minutes.

Danny: Oww! Ok, who's walking on my heel?

Kimberly: Think that was me, Dan. Sorry.

Katie: Mama?

Emma: Yes, sweetie?

Katie: Feel funny. :p

Emma: (Puts her head in her hand) Me too, honey. (Picks up her daughter as the group stops at a dead end)

John: Ok, now what?

Micky: Anybody got a shovel or pick axe? :P ;)

Maxine: Maybe we should find another door.

Marcus: Where ARE we?

Jenny: Who has the map?

Emma: (Slight moan) Lauren.

Lauren: Em?

Emma: I'm ok. Just a little heavy-feeling. (Sniffs) And my nose is a bit stuffy. I can't smell much. :p

Katie: Yucky. :p

Lauren: *frowns* I don't like this.

Katie: Wat now?

Emma: Now...(frowns)...um, that's a good question.

Valerie: Peter, does Paul know where we are?

Peter: (Looks at Paul) Paul?

Paul: (Scratches his head, then nods, smiling) Now I remember. This passage opens into the library. :)

Peter: (To the others) We're at the library, guys. :)

Mary: You mean the treasure's been 'ere all along? :o

Paul: (Scratches his head) I forget. :p

Micky: Well, if it's anything like find the tapestry map... ;)

Peter: I just hope it doesn't bonk you on the head this time, Mick. ;)

Paul: Bonk?

Peter: The tapestry map fell on his head. ;)

(Paul laughs.) :))

Micky: *rubs his head* I hope it aims for something else. ;)

Lance: Well, wot are we waitin' for, mates, Eastah? Let's get lookin' for this treasure! :D

Mary: Lance, 'ow? We don't 'ave no picks or shovels?

Paul: We didn't bury it. It's hidden...somewhere.

Peter: Paul says it's not burried. It's hidden in the walls. :)

Lance: Always wondered why the walls of this place were so blasted THICK... ;) :p

John: Well, what are you all waitin' for? Move your hands over those walls and find that treasure! ;)

(Everyone moves their hands over the walls...even the kids, who don't really get it but do it because everyone else is. ;) )

(Peter and Paul inspect the back wall, where it seems a bit harder.)

Peter: (Pushes hard) I wonder what this is? I... (pushes as hard as he can...and falls into the wall)

Paul: Peter! Are you all right? :o

Micky: Pete!

Peter: (Pops his head out as the others gather around - he's covered with dirt, but otherwise all right) I'm ok, guys! I found something! (We hear grunts as he tries to tug it out) Oooh, it's heavy!

(Micky, Davy, and John help Peter carry out a large, leather-wood-and-metal trunk. It's covered with dirt. Paul's already-glowing face lights up as Valerie and Lauren shine their flashlights over the trunk.)

Paul: I...I think that's it! That's the treasure! Percy remembered to put it in the secret "safe" spot. Uncle would never think to look for it back here! :D

Peter: Paul says this is the treasure, guys! :D

Lance: That's a bit more like it! (Kneels down; frowns) There's a lock on it. Anyone got a key?

Lauren: *grins* Em? ;)

Emma: (Groans a little, but then) Um...I don't know if a hair pin will work on something this old...

Mary: Try anyway! There ain't no bolt cuttahs back 'ere!

Emma: I feel so heavy... (Her eyes are closing) Lauren, you do it. (Hands her a hair pin from her pocket) I can't think straight. :p

Lauren: *takes the hair pin* Okay, I'll give it a shot. *kneels in front of the lock and sticks the pin in; after several seconds, there's a click; pulls the lock off, then lifts the lid* Oh, my goodness! :-O :D

Peter: What? (He takes a flashlight and shines it over the treasure...which gives a faintly golden glow as the entire group gathers around it. We see the whole group silohetted against the flashlights, their faces amazed as they gaze at the treasure...before cutting to the treasure itself, a mass of gold and silver coins, jewelry, and even a few pieces of weapons and fine armor.)

Lance: Bloody 'ell! :o

Katie: Ooooh, lotsa pretty stuff! :o :D

Mary: (Only half-paying attention) Lance, watch your language around the kiddies.

Paul: (Hugs Peter) You did it! You found our treasure! Now it can be sold for money for the villagers, like I planned! :D

Mary: There must be 'undreds...no, thousands of pounds of gold and jewels 'ere! :O

Jack: Amazing!

Peter: Paul says he wants it to be sold for money for the villagers. :)

Mary: Good lord, there's enough for the villagers and to make repairs on and promote the Manor, and that's even after donatin' the weapons and armor to the 'istorical society! :o

Valerie: We've got to call the nearest authorities and get it and us out of this passage.

(Emma has been leaning against the wall, her head bowed down. Katie leans against her mother, moaning. Emma sighs, leaning against the wall. All of a sudden, the wall gives way. Emma and Katie fall through the wall...and we see light and books on the other side.)

Valerie: Em? :o

Emma: (From in the library) I'm all right!

Katie: Me too!

Kimberly: (Grins) And she just found our way out of here. ;)

(Cut to the library. Everyone is now in the library, including the kids and Paul, dirty but alive. Peter, John, Micky, and Davy drag the trunk out of the passage.)

Valerie: I can't believe this.

Peter: (Smiles at Paul) Paul, we found the treasure! Now we can prove you wanted to do good with this!

Paul: (Sighs) I...I only wanted everyone to live peacefully. (Addresses everyone) All I've ever wanted was peace. I hate war. My uncle wanted me to train to be a knight, but I refused. I don't want to fight. I want all of the kingdoms to live in harmony. Uncle claimed he was defending our kingdom, but from what? All his wars did was destroy our people's crops and homes...and the crops and homes of others as well. No one deserves that. I just wanted....(lowers his head)...I wanted to make everyone happy, without fighting. Fighting isn't always the answer.

Peter: (Looks at the others sadly) Paul only wanted everyone to live in peace. He never wanted to hurt people, but this was the only way he could think of helping the villagers without causing a war.

Nyles: That's a beautiful sentiment. :)

Peter and Paul: (In unison) Thank you! :)

(They both laugh. The others stare at Peter weird.)

Peter: (Still laughing) I'll explain later. ;) :))

Mary: (Sighs) I still don't trust a ghost, but you can't deny that trunk. That treasure's certainly real. We'll 'ave to send it to London to 'ave it appraised and inspected as soon as possible. I'm sure me fathah or Davy's grandfathah knows someone reputable. (Makes a face) Let's get that thing out of the library. It's makin' the carpet dirty. :p

(Suddenly, there's a black light and a soft glow. Sir Donald materalizes. Paul gasps as Shelia and Alex appear.)

Paul: It's Lady Julia of London! I thought I saw her!

Sir Donald: My gold! (Runs to the treasure) I want that back. Every last bit of it. (Draws his sword) Or else.

Emma: (Groans) Shelia. X( :p

Shelia: It's nice to know I don't have to introduce myself. ;)

Lauren: Oh, great. :P X-(

Shelia: We don't have much time left in this part, so let's skip straight to the point. We want that treasure, and you WILL give it to us.

John: Make us, lady. X(

Tilly: You can't get around all of us, cult freak! X(

Shelia: What if there were fewer of you around? ;) >:)

Marcus: We'll get YOU first!

Jack: I don't like what she's getting at. :P

Chris: Don't hurt her! She's cute! ;) :X

Micky: Oh, please! :P

Shelia: Alex...why don't you bring out your newest toy? ;) >:)

Alex: Gladly. *holds out a hand; a needle appears in his palm in a black light* Here it is.

Paul: What IS that thing?

Sir Donald: Let's put it this way, my boy. Be glad we're dead. ;) :p

Peter: Oh no... :o

Alex: *holds up the needle* Obviously, it's a needle.

Peter: Paul doesn't know what those are!

Mary: I can't believe this! Could you NOT play wit' that bloody thing around all these people? :p

Alex: Do I care? >:) ;)

Peter: You can see Paul?

Alex: Of course.

Valerie: That's not fair! We can't see ghosts! :p

Shelia: Comes with the territory. (Turns to her partner) Now, Alex, we've already experimented on one member of the group. Who would you like to work on next?

Alex: Hmmm. *grins in Valerie's direction* I see a volunteer. ;) >:)

Peter: Nooo! :o

John: Get that as...(looks at the kids)...jerk!

(Alex reaches for Valerie as the Martians, Nyles, Jack, and Kimberly reach for HIM.)

Valerie: (As Alex pulls her close to him) Let me go, Alex! I'm not interested in you that way. (Smirks; softer, so little ears don't hear) From what I've heard, you’re lousy in bed. ;)

Alex: *growls* You've obviously heard from the wrong people. :P ;)

Peter: (Wails) No, Alex! Let Val go! :((

Paul: Unhand her, you curly-locked ruffian! She's an innocent! X(

Alex: Not a chance. ;) >:)

Shelia: Simple. We want Paul to give up the treasure. It's rightfully ours. We intend to use it to buy this place and turn it into a splendid war-themed amusement park.

Alex: So hand it over.

Lance: Well...

Mary: (Elbows him hard, then turns to Shelia) If you think you can get your ‘ands on this ‘ouse, you can just pack up your things and leave now. I knew there was somethin’ bloomin’ wrong with you! X(

Paul: It belongs to the villagers! All of their hard-earned money went into Uncle's debaucheries and wars!

Emma: WHERE IS MIKE? X(

Shelia: He's part of the bargain. Turn over the treasure, and we'll give Michael and Valerie back unharmed and restored.

Emma: What did you do to Mike? I know you love to play around with him. X(

Shelia: Oh, Alex used him to work on some concoctions.

Sir Donald: Most delicious, really. ;) >:)

Alex: He made an excellent guinea pig. ;)

Emma: You drugged him. X(

Katie: Papa? Papa yucky? :p

Emma: Yes, Katie. They made Papa feel yucky. That's why WE feel yucky. :p

Katie: (The little girl turns to Shelia and Alex, fire in her large brown eyes) You MEAN! You hurt Papa! X(

Sir Donald: How adorable. The lass is defending her father. ;)

Alex: *rolls his eyes* I'm so scared. :P ;)

Katie: You MEAN! You weely mean! No hurt Papa! X( (Katie runs right up to Alex pounds his leg)

Alex: *makes a face* You little... X-( :P

Emma: Katie...

Valerie: Um, Kate, I don't know if this is going to help... :o

Lance: Actually, I think the mini-chit has the right idea. ;)

Little Mick: Charge! :D *runs over to Alex and kicks a shin. Shelly does the same, kicking the other shin.*

Alex: Ow! Ow! :P

John: Let's scare the shi...heck outta them! :D

Kimberly: Hey, kids, wait up! ;)

Paul: (Pushes his uncle against the wall) I've got Uncle! (Grins at his reletive) Now, Uncle...say uncle!

Sir Donald: I hate you, you silly ass. X(

Paul: I don't hate you. I just hate what you do.

("Long Title: Do I Have To Do It All Over Again?" from "Head" begins as everyone decends on Shelia and Alex. The kids continue to kick and punch Alex's legs. He drops the needle and lets Valerie go. Valerie runs to Peter; they embrace. :X)

(Kimberly gives Alex karate chops on the shoulder and in the stomach. ;) )

(Chris pulls out flowers and candy and gives them to Shelia, with a few stars of his own in his eyes. :X)

*Micky pulls Alex into a headlock and gives him a noogie.* ;)

(Katie hands the needle to her mother, who makes it disappear in a dark blue light.)

*Lauren joins everyone else picking on Alex, kneeing him where it hurts most.* ;)

(With everyone paying attention to Alex, Shelia takes off...but not without eating a few chocolates from Chris' box first. Chris goes after her. ;) )

(Sir Donald finally shoves his nephew aside and takes off; Paul goes after him.)

(The Abbies try on the jewelry, dazzled by the brilliant gems. When they emerge from the library, all four, including Daph, and Tilly are bedecked in fine crystal earrings, gold filligree bracelets, pearl necklaces, and ametheyst tiaras. Daph proudly sports the emerald necklace Sir Donald had planned on giving Shelia. ;) )

(The Martians and Nyles find a small but well-stocked bar in a parlor room. They pour each other drinks and clink glasses before gulping deeply. ;) )

*Jack keeps tabs on how many drinks the Martians and Nyles consume.* ;)

(Emma, Peter, Valerie, Lauren, and the kids follows Shelia to the wine cellar. Shelia starts to unlock the door, but sees them coming. Valerie and Lauren grab her while Emma finishes unlocking the door. They storm downstairs, where Mike is still tied to the casket. Peter closes his eyes; there's a blue light around Mike, and the "Goo" that clung to him is gone. Emma gives him a deep kiss; Peter puts his hands over Katie's eyes.)

(Emma and Peter untie Mike. Lauren and Valerie bind Shelia in Mike's place as Emma embraces her tired but relieved husband...and Katie embraces her papa's leg.)

*Micky continues to wrestle with Alex. The two exchange wrestling holds until Micky pins Alex to the floor. He puts a submission move on Alex and taps his hand on the floor. He lets Alex go, then blue-lights an armful of rope. He ties Alex up and blue-lights the other end of the rope up to the ceiling. It attaches itself, and Micky dangles Alex from the rope. Micky makes a sign the says "Pinata: Free Swings." He grins, arms folded proudly.*

Mary: (She and Lance come back in the library as the music winds down) Well, that's a creative way of apprehendin' someone, I must say! ;)

Lance: Anyone got a stick? (Mary nudges him, but she's grinning. Lance pushes Alex lightly; he swings back and forth) Quite fun, really. ;) :D

*Alex growls through the rope, which had coincidentally wrapped itself around his mouth in the course of tying him up.* ;)

Mary: Well, what are we gonna do wit' 'im?

Lance: Leave 'im there, I say. 'E can't do any 'arm up there! ;)

Mary: 'E's less trouble up there than he is down 'ere.

Mick: That's for sure. :P

Lance: (Puts an arm around Mary) Let's get upstairs and see if there's a upstairs left. 'E'll keep. ;)

(They head downstairs, leaving Alex ranting and raving as he swings back and forth on the library celing.)

(Cut to downstairs. Mike, Emma, Lauren, Peter, Valerie, and the kids come from the wine cellar. The girls come from a parlor, dripping with jewels. The boys emerge from another parlor, falling over themselves. ;) )

Mary: Looks like you've all been busy. :p

Paul: (Drags his uncle along) Yes, we have, Lady Mary.

Sir Donald: You'll PAY for this, boy! X(

Paul: Looks like you are the one who is paying, Uncle.

Peter: (Turns to Paul) The treasure is yours now, Paul. Yours and your ancestors'. It'll go to the worthy causes you wanted it to go to. :)

Mary: I don't know 'ow we're going to explain the treasure just appearin' like this...and all this information.

Peter: What if we tell the truth? Someone heard noises in the East Wing and accidentally stumbled on the secret passage, where they found the treasure. :)

Mary: Given 'ow creaky this old 'ouse is, that might work.

Paul: (Puts a hand on Peter's shoulders) Please, prove to the world I'm not a thief. (Sighs) But there's one more thing I need you to do.

Peter: What? :o

Paul: Stop the murder. Stop the cycle, or we'll never rest. (He and Sir Donald both fade out after this; Peter's eyes widen)

Peter: Oh, man! (Turns to the others) Guys, we HAVE to get upstairs! NOW! They're going to re-enact the murder...and they'll keep re-enacting it if we don't end it! :o

Emma: Mike isn't up for it, and I don't think I am, either, but you can take who you need.

Mary: What do you mean? 'Ow can we stop a murder that 'appened centuries ago?

Micky: Good question.

(But Peter is already running upstairs at full speed, followed by Valerie.)

(Cut to the East Wing as "Goin' Down" begins. Peter barrels into the room. He runs past a surprised Paul and Violetta, still in each other's embrace, flings open the door to the next room, and grabs at the arrow hidden behind it. He fights Donald for the bow. The bow goes off. Valerie gets Paul and Violetta down before anyone is hurt...and is shocked when she realizes she can see and touch them. Peter continues to wrestle Sir Donald for the bow as the door flings open again and Micky, Lauren, the twins, the Martians, Nyles, Jack, Davy, and the ladies all pile in.)

*Micky runs over to help Peter wrestle with Sir Donald.*

(The Martians dog pile on Sir Donald. When Peter and Micky emerge, all four sit on him. Chris proudly holds the bow. Marcus lets out a nice little burp and covers his mouth, coyly fluttering his eyelashes. ;) :)) )

(Paul points to the tapestry, where a hand holding a bow suddenly emerges, the bow aimed right for the crowd. :o )

(The twins grin and run over to the tapestry, trying to tug it down. Micky and Peter join them. The tapestry finally comes down, revealing a small, slender young man with long, light brown hair and a high-cheekboned face, dressed in black early Rennasance costume. He pulls away from the others and runs for the main room.)

(Maxine swings one of her longest necklaces around like a rope. She catches the young man in her "rope." The other girls "bind" with necklaces and bracelets.)

(Nyles burps in Sir Donald's face. One whiff of his breath, and he passes out. Nyles grabs Donald’s sword and hands it to Paul, who hands it to Violetta. Lauren, Valerie, and Violetta throw all of the weapons in a trunk in her room and lock it.)

*Jack holds up a sign with a "10" on it for Nyles’ burp.* :D ;)

(Cut to the room again as the music ends and Mary and Lance fling the door open. Violetta and Paul embrace. Micky and Davy hold Sir Donald, who is "chained" with necklaces. The twins grab the other man, their "captive," by the legs and push him over.)

Paul: (His eyes widen at the other "captive") Percy? Percy, what are you doing here?

Percy: Following your orders. (Makes a face) For five centuries.

Paul: Percy, why did you kill him?

Percy: He deserved no mercy. I lost my lands and half my family at the mercy of that madman and his obsession with war. X(

Paul: You know how I feel about killing! We don't kill! No one deserves that!

Percy: He did. X(

Sir Donald: If I weren't already dead...

John: (Hiccups) But you are, Donnie-boy.

Paul: Percy, did you hide the treasure?

Percy: (Nods) Yes, in the compartment in the passage near the library, just like you instructed. (Narrows his eyes) Unfortuantly, I was killed by a garrison of Sir Donald's soldiers just outside of the village. They asked too many questions I wasn't eager to answer. X(

Paul: (Looks at the children) Little ones, you can let your captive go now. He's a friend of mine. :)

Violetta: (Pats the trunk) The weapons are locked away where they'll cause no more harm.

Mary: They’ll do even less harm in the 'Istorical Society.

Lauren: Good.

Peter: (Kneels down to the kids) I'm proud of you for finding Percy and stopping Sir Donald from getting hurt, but they have to go now, ok? :)

Little Mick: Awww! Okay, Uncle Peter. :P

*Shelly nods as she and Micky let go.* :P

Percy: I'll give those little ones credit. They have bloody good grips. (Rubs his legs to regain circulation)

Lance: This is incredible! :o

Percy: There's a book in the secret passage that should verify most of what happened here. It's the records I kept of our comings and goings. (Sighs) Paul never could remember whom we raided when, so I noted everything and kept track of who we stole from, when, where, and why.

Tilly: But...but...how can we SEE you? :o

Violetta: We're only visible during the time of the murder.

Paul: The only way for the cycle to end was for someone to intervene.

Peter: And the only way someone could intervene...

Marcus: Was if they could SEE you.

Paul: But this part of the house was almost never used until recently.

Mary: When we opened this 'ouse to the public, we 'ad all of the wings cleaned as well as we could, including this one.

Paul: Our deaths were senseless (looks at Percy), even Uncle's. You and I are going to discuss your impulsiveness, Percy.

Peter: We stopped history from repeating itself. :)

Paul: And saved my reputation. (Smiles) I ask of only one thing before we go. Please distribute those funds to the villagers, and do it in my name. See that the diary and the money gets to the right hands. :)

Violetta: (She and Paul bend down to address the children) We thank you too, little ones. You're very courageous, for such young people. :)

Paul: You put on a good show. Tell your little lass friend we thank her, too. :)

Little Mick: *grins* You're welcome! :D

Shelly: *shy grin* Thank you. :)

Violetta: (Pats Little Mick on the head) You remind me so much of my little son. I can't wait to see him. :)

Paul: And Peter... (Hugs him) Thank you most of all. If it wasn't for you, we never would have ended the cycle! :)

Peter: (Hugs back) You're welcome, Paul! :)

Violetta: Thank you all for finding the treasure. :)

(Emma, Mike, and Katie enter the room. Mike stops, his eyes widening.)

Mike: Must still be outta it... :p

Emma: Oh, my... :o

Katie: Ghosties! :D

Paul: We thank you, too. We hope you're all right (frowns), and Lady Julia and her accomplice aren't.

Mike: We just checked. They both flew the coop. :p

Valerie: AGAIN? :p

Emma: (Nods) Again. :p

Micky: Figures. :P

Violetta: (She and Paul begin to fade out) Farewell, friends! (Looks at Mary) You'll be a good mistress for Kibbee Manor. You have a good head on your shoulders.

Mary: Thank you!

Paul: (Grins at Lance) You keep a good eye on things, ancestor, you hear me? ;)

Lance: Of course. Wouldn't dream of anything else! ;)

Percy: (Takes Sir Donald's arm) I've been wanting to do this for five centuries. (Grins a little too widely) You're coming with us, Donald. ;) >:)

Donald: (Groans) Wonderful. :p

Paul: Farewell...

Violetta: And thank you for everything!

(They embrace, and all four fade away as a spring breeze blows open the huge window in Violetta's room. Everyone goes to the window to look out on a now-sunny sky, illuminated by the last of the rain that plagued the area throughout the story. Four tiny lights can almost be seen fluttering against the bright sunlight of a spring late afternoon.)

Katie: (Points) Ooh, Mama, a rainbow! :D

Emma: (Picks up her daughter as the others join them at the window, taking in the beautiful sight of a fully-visible rainbow arching over the green park and village) Yes, Katie. An end...and a lovely beginning.

(We fade out on the group as they watch the rainbow and the suddenly emerging spring day.)
