Everyone ready to finish this story off? ;)

Mike: Yeah.

Micky: You bet!

Davy: (Sighs; he's not paying attention) Uh-huh. :X

Lauren: I'm ready.

Peter: Me too!

(We open in Micky and Lauren's hotel room after the concert. Mike, Emma, Davy, Peter, Lauren, and Micky sit on the chairs and tables, eating Japanese food. Katie sits next to her father, just leaning against him with a sleepy little smile. :) )

*The twins sit on the floor near Micky and play with some toys.* :)

Bob: Hey, gang. How's the food in Japan?

Mike: As long as it's cooked and doesn't require sticks to eat, I have no complaints. ;)

Emma: I'm growing quite fond of teryaki. :)

Micky: As long as it's cooked, I'll eat it. ;)

(Davy leans against the wall on the bed, a smile on his lips. He's staring at the celing...but his eyes are a million miles away. ;) :X)

Peter: (Sips his tea) The tea is the best I've ever had. I hope we get to go back to that tea ceremony you guys mentioned when there are no ninjas around. :)

Mike: Um, Davy? (Waves his hand in front of Davy's face; he doesn't even blink) Man, he's been like that ever since he sang to Daph at the concert. :p

Peter: (Sighs) That was soooo romantic! :X

Mike: And the crowd really ate it up, too. ;)

Bert: How much longer are you guys going to be on this side of the Pacific? ;)

Peter: Only for a few days. We're playing in a few smaller venues in northern Japan, then are heading home to work on our third album. :)

Mike: (Puts up a hand) And I promise, I won't go as crazy this time. I'll take some time out between filming and recordin'. (Smiles) Actually, I wanted to ask you guys somethin'. Em and I were gonna visit Aunt Kate sometime next month, before we start the album and the next tour and Davy and Daphne get married. (Grins) Aunt Kate wanted to know if the rest of you wanted to tag along. She has plenty of room. ;)

Micky: *sees Lauren nod* Sure! We'll come along! ;)

Peter: I'd love to go! (Frowns) As long as we aren't attacked by bandits again! :(

Mike: (Puts up his hand) No bandits, Pete. Aunt Kate told me Ben Cartwright and his gang are currently serving their 20-year sentance in the state penitentary near Dallas.

Emma: I can't wait to meet the rest of your family, Mike. Aunt Kate's really cool. I love her stories about being a cowgirl in the thirties and forties. :D

Mike: Lucy should be there. As far as I know, she's still livin' with Aunt Kate 'cause she ain't married yet. Clara is the schoolmistress in town. All my boy cousins are married with kids. You might meet some of them, too. Aunt Kate said she was plannin' some kind of family get-together.

Emma: Hope it goes better than my family's get-togethers. I don't think I'd want to spend most of the night hiding upstairs or in a movie theater. ;)

Bob: So, how did it feel to play spies again?

Mike: (Makes a face) We are NEVER doin' this again.

Micky: I still kinda like the gadgets. ;)

Peter: (Nods) I'm glad you helped catch that nasty woman and that no one got hurt, but it was really scary when all those men attacked us in the restaraunt...and the kids were there! :o

Emma: (Sighs) On one hand, I completely understand Mike's point. We're NOT trained professionals, and we're lucky I got the kids out of that fight before they got hurt...and that none of US got hurt this time worse than Daphne being choroformed and tied up. :p

Davy: (Sighs, then makes a face) God, that was awful. I thought I was nevah gonna see 'er again for a minute. (Looks at Micky) Thanks for gettin' to the camera and makin' that film, man. If you and Mike 'adn't gotten that confession and taped it, we wouldn't 'ave 'ad any way to get 'er to tell us where Daph was.

Micky: No problem, Dave. Anytime. ;)

Mike: I can't believe we got her to talk so much. I thought you guys said this was gonna be a realistic story.

Emma: Plot exposition. It had to go somewhere. ;)

Bob: Speaking of realism, where did the pornography/white slavery ring storyline come from?

Emma: The aforementioned desire for a more realistic storyline...and off the top of my head. We really didn't have much time to work on this story, due to my moving in real-life shortly after the completion of the last set, so a lot of the ideas for this one came as we were writing it. ;)

Bert: Why Japan?

Emma: Why not? It worked for James Bond. ;)

Lauren: *shrugs* Change of scenery. ;)

Emma: (Nods) All of the stories in this arc are just that - changes of scenery. The last arc was based entirely in fantasy worlds, on the stage, or in Malibu Beach, so we thought it was time to get out and see the world. ;)

Mike: (Shrugs) Japan ain't so bad. Yeah, they've got their rituals and can be kinda stiff, but the whole ninja thing is sorta cool, they make awesome electronics, and the food is good when it's cooked. ;)

Peter: (Sighs) I like it here. Everyone is so respectful and calm.

Davy: And short. It's nice to not be the only male who ain't tallah than 'is fiancee. ;)

Mike: Now that, I DON'T like. I feel like even more of a stick here than I do in the States. :p

Micky: It was kinda intersting looking over everyone's head. ;)

Bert: What about the warm-up story?

Peter: Yeah! I didn't like that at all! That was scary! :(

Emma: Lauren and I are fans of silly, farcical, all-star murder mysteries and decided to write one of our own. ;)

Mike: Didn't we do that in the original series? :p

Emma: Yes, but we were going for something with a bit more elegance...and fewer fake mediums. :p ;)

Bob: Whose idea was it to connect the two stories?

Emma: (Raises her hand) Originally, "Murder, My Monkee" was a really noisy dinner theater party. We got so into the murder, I decided to make it real instead of just a performance and brought Honeywell in with the pornography charges. We didn't really have a plot for the next story at that point, so I just decided to use Honeywell's pursuit of the pornography ring as a kind of link. ;) :)

Lauren: And she did it very well. ;)

Bert: Where did Delia Buttram come from?

Emma: (Shrugs) The need for a somewhat more realistic bad guy than the last spy story we did...and the real-life treatment of women in the Mafia, in the Orient, and the beginnings of the Women's Liberation movement of the 70s.

Mike: You know, it's nice to actually tussle with an opposition who isn't crazy, or even "bad" in the Shelia sense. Delia was a nasty bitch, but she was a bitch who was just doin' a profitable business that her family been doin' for years. Doesn't make what she did right by a long-shot, but at least she hadn't gone stark-raving-loony like Darwin did. :p

Davy: (Shudders) Far from it, mate. That woman was very, cold-bloodedly sane. :p

Bert: What was your favorite part?

Davy: Singin' to Daph at the concert. (Grins at Micky) We already know what your favorite part was. ;)

Micky: Yeah, yeah. ;)

Mike: The car chase, by a long shot. I hope they'll change their mind about putting that motorcycle on the market. ;) :D

(Emma just rolls her eyes. 8-| )

Emma: Seeing you guys at the concert and all of those happy Japanese girls. ;)

Lauren: The concert. :)

Peter: Getting to explore a new culture...and spend time with Valerie and the kids. I don't know why you think the twins are such terrors. The two of them and Katie were perfect angels for me! :D

Lauren: Because the twins CAN be a couple of little terrors. ;)

Peter: (Puts a hand on each twins' shoulder) But they've never given me or Valerie any trouble! (Looks at the twins) You guys are always good when you play with me! You never draw on the walls or jump on the beds or break anything! :D

Mike: 'Cause they know you get upset easily. :p

Micky: *shrugs* Pete, they know you better than you think they do. ;)

Bob: How about you kids? Have you had a good time in Japan with your folks and Uncle Peter? ;) :)

Shelly: Fun! :D

Mick: Like Japan! Lotsa fun! :)

Mike: (Puts his arm around his daughter) Katie'll answer you later, Bob. She's sleepin'. (Indeed, Katie falls against Mike's side, her eyes closed.) ;) I-)

Bob: Hey, Davy, have you and Daph finally set a definate wedding date?

Davy: We'll discuss that when we get back from this trip, but we're talking some time in April or early May. Enough for a nice, fair-sized crowd. We're gonna get married in the Montgomery 'Ouse's garden and 'ave the reception on the veranda and beach behind the Pad. We're supposed to go on another short tour, this one of England, in late April. Val said she might be willin' to give us some time to ourselves in England after the tour for a little 'oneymoon. ;)

Mike: I'm just glad you finally stopped puttin' it off, man.

Peter: You two are really perfect for each other. :X

Davy: (Grins) Yeah, ain't we? ;)

Micky: *sniffs* It's so beautiful! *fakes weeping* ;) :((

(Davy throws a pillow at Micky, but he's chuckling. ;) :p)

Davy: (Sighs) I learned my lesson. I almost lost Daph twice 'cause I was too scared to tell 'er 'ow special she is to me. No more. She's the only woman in my life, and it's gonna stay that way from now on. :X :D

Mike: You say that now, boy.

Davy: I mean it. I mean, you guys know me. Even a few years ago, I would 'ave gone right aftah Keiko, traditions or no traditions. Contrary to what Daph thinks, I nevah once laid a hand on that girl. Not because she wasn't pretty, or smart, or fun to be around, but, well...aftah the intial attraction, I began to realize that she just wasn't Daph, and Daph is what I want. :X ;)

Mike: That's good to hear. So, no more chasin' every mildly good-lookin' young woman who walks into your view? ;)

Davy: I ain't gonna promise that, but I'll 'ave Daph and 'er tempah around to make sure I at least try. ;)

Bob: So, what else do you have planned for the upcoming months? Any site work?

Emma: I'm hoping my new surroundings will be more conductive to writing. I have written some non-Monkees stories in the past few months and maybe will get around to writing some fanfics. It's just been so crazy for me in real life for the past few weeks. Once things settle down, I'll start thinking about the role play and fanfiction again. :)

Bert: Any site work?

Emma: (Looks at Lauren) We've got to get those profiles up sometime, honey.

Lauren: *smacks forehead* Maybe we can put them up as is and if we need to add anything more, we can when we have a chance. :">

Emma: All we need to do is the two Devil's profiles and add some quick comments from everyone else. We could probably get them up this or next month. :)

Lauren: Works for me. :) ;)

Emma: Other than that and updating the Background page, there isn't much else we can do with the site. We could possibly find some screen-shots for Val, Daph, Tilly, the Four Martians, Jolly Green Giants, Jack, and Nyles, but don't count on seeing them anytime soon.

Lauren: I could work on grabbing the screen shots. (Since I have that capability. :) )

Peter: Valerie says the English tour is going to be our last tour for a couple of months and we'll concentrate on the albums and filming our next special after that. :)

Bert: And on that subject, anything interesting planned for the spring and early summer months? ;)

Emma: Quite a few things, some of them of them very important. (Looks at Lauren...and her stomach...and winks) ;)

*Lauren winks back, then sticks her tongue out.* ;)

Micky: *sees the exchange* I don't wanna know. ;)

Emma: You'll find out in about two months, Mick. ;)

Micky: *nods* Okay.

*Lauren rolls her eyes.* ;)

Emma: We're thinking about doing a few more time-traveling stories. ;)

Mike: Couldn't we do a story where we just stay home and play music? :p

Emma: Now, Mike, that's no fun to write! ;)

Mike: You ain't the guy who's been everythin' from a vampire to a martial arts warrior to a witch's lawyer. :p

Peter: And you've never been turned into the Devil or lifted things with your eyes! :p

Davy: Evah been a witch with the Devil on your tail, man? :p

Micky: Or paralyzed. *shudders* :P ;)

Mike: Or blinded. :p

Lauren: Geez, you guys are no fun. :P ;)

Emma: (Looks at her watch) I think it's time to head to the video, gang. The kids are starting to nod off, and Katie's already done. ;)

Peter: (Yawns) Yeah. Valerie's in our room, checking up on Jordan. I'm going to find out how my son is doing. (Sighs; brief frown) I miss him so much. I hope we can bring him on the next story. (Smiles and yawns again) Bye, guys. See you tomorrow. :)

Mike: Bye, Pete. Have a nice night. Tell Val we said "hi." :)

Peter: I will! (He heads out)

Mike: Yeah, man, we'd better go, too. (Picks up Katie and turns to the others) See you tomorrow for breakfast and rehearsal, man.

Micky: Bye, guys. *waves*

Emma: Yeah. (Smiles) And as glad as I am to have helped Honeywell...I think after this, we're going to stay out of the spy business for a LONG time. ;)

Mike: Yeah, man. As much fun as the gadgets are, like I said the first time, this business just ain't our bag. :p

Emma: We were lucky no one was hurt worse than drugs they slept off this time and that the kids weren't hurt. I don't want to take the chance of them getting involved with this...or running into drugs and other things we can't handle, powers or not.

Lauren: Yeah.

Mike: (Sighs) When all's said and done, though, it's nice to help. Just, from now on, let's stick to helping reletively ordinary citizens. We may have superpowers, but James Bond, we ain't. ;)

Davy: Speak for yourselves, mate. ;)

Micky: Ditto that! ;)

Mike: (Rolls his eyes as everyone laughs) We'll see you guys downstairs for breakfast before runnin' off to rehearsal.

Emma: Have a nice night. :)

Lauren: You, too! :)

(They head out, Katie slumbering peacefully in her father's arms. :) I-) )

Davy: (Gets up) I've got to go change and showah. I'm gonna meet Daph in my room to talk...well, to talk of many things. ;)

Micky: JUST talk? ;)

Lauren: *whacks Micky's arm* Mick! ;) :P :)

Davy: (Grins) Well, we'll be busy, let's put it that way. We 'ave some catchin' up to do before we get married. (Waves) 'Ave a nice night, guys, and I'm sure you will. ;)

Micky: You're right! *waves*

Lauren: Mick! :"> ;)

(Davy leaves, doubled over laughing. ;) :)) )

Micky: *turns a devilish grin on Lauren* So, uh, babe, I couldn't help but notice the subtleness on some surprise you've got in store for me. However, you can't exactly spring that surprise unless you do something else first. *waggles his eyebrows* ;) >:)

Lauren: Oh, you did pick up on that, huh? *grins* Well, the twins are already asleep. *points down at the two little kids, lying on the floor, snoring softly* Just like you, it'd take a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerine plant to wake them up. *grin widens* Let’s work on that surprise. ;) >:)

Micky: *jumps up* Don't hafta ask me twice! *lifts Lauren up, who starts laughing & dumps her on the bed* :D ;) >:)

(Cut from Micky and Lauren on the bed back to the stage of the Tokyo stadium for a video from their "concert," "You're So Good." The guys are back in their white "Circle Sky" outfits; Micky even has the word "Drum" on his bass drum.)

(Davy moves around, dancing quite happily in time to the music. Peter joins him, still carrying his bass. Mike just rolls his eyes and indicates to the crowd that he's trying to hide his amusement. ;) :p)

*Micky stands behind the drums, crashing the heck out of his cymbals.* :D

(We get some odd camerawork ala "Head," playing with the negative/positive film, speeding it up and slowing it down. We even have some animation at one point as Davy dances with an animated Japanese beauty and Peter sips from animated teacups that start to sing and dance. Even Mike's beloved Black Beauty turns "animated" at one point and sings along. We fade out on the guys bowing as the song ends to thunderous applause.)

(Fade in on the credits. "She Hangs Out" plays over stills from both "productions," ending with a still of the entire crew from "Kids and Devils" and "A Raybert Production.")
