Everyone ready to crack that formula...and melt this mystery?

Mike: Yeah.

Peter: I sure am.

Micky: I'm ready.

Davy: So am I.

(We open in the Beach Cave. Mike, Emma, and Lauren are leaning over Micky in his red crystal Chemistry room.

Mike: So, how did that formula for the ice cream come out?

Emma: I hope I remembered it right. We couldn't take the actual formula with us.

Mike: Well, Micky? And don't tell me you ate it or blew it up.

Micky: Here's the end result. Now, how do we find out if it's right?

Mike: Taste it and see if you like it. Remember, none of us could eat it before.

Micky: Ask a stupid question. *Tastes it, then spits it right back out* Yuck! Yup, I think that's right.

Mike: Now, can you tweak it just a little? So it doesn't cause any harm?

Micky: A-tweaking I will go!

Emma: Honey, what do you mean?

Mike: We're gonna go back to the factory.

Emma: We can't do that! They chased us out of there!

Mike: At night, darlin'. It's gonna be a little "Mission: Ridiculous." (Grin) And we're gonna need some help. Micky, do you know if Herman and his band's back from Pennsylvania and available, not to mention Millie's boys?

Micky: As far as I know, they should all be able to make it.

Mike: Good. Girls, call the others. Mick, call Herman and his band. We've got a "Mission: Ridiculous" mystery on our hands.

Micky: Yessir!

(We cut to Millie's. Mike, Emma, Lauren, and Micky sit in one booth. Millie brings the crew their food as Davy and Daphne arrive.)

Millie: Hey, gang. You can pull up a chair. (Turns to Mike) You say you're going to save this place?

Mike: (Nods) Yes, we are, but we're going to need help.

Emma: (Looks up at Davy and Daphne) You dropped off Lizzie at Mrs. Marion's?

Mike: Thank goodness she and Mrs. Filcheck were more than happy to take care of the kids.

Davy: Yeah, that was very nice of them.

Millie: So, what's he doing that's taking away my customers?

Mike: We ain't sure, but we think it has somethin' to do with the ice cream and brain drain.

Millie: Brain drain?

Mike: We think Frazzlemeyer is stealing people's intelligence. What he plans to do with it, we don't know yet.

Emma: (Looks up as Slip and Sach joins them) Hey, guys. Ready for an adventure?

Slip: I am. I ain't so sure about him. *Jerks a thumb at Sach*

Millie: Sach, if you go with them tonight, I'll treat you and Slip to all the banana splits you can eat tomorrow. On the house. No tab. You too, Mick.

Sach: Really?

Millie: You bet. You do this, and you save my business...and every ice cream shop in town.

Sach: I'll do it!

Mike: Good. We're gonna need some good fists.

Emma: That factory is crawling with goons.

Slip: And after we're through, the goons will be crawling.

Valerie: (As she, Peter, Herman, Jessie, and Nyles arrive) Hi, everyone. I'm worried. My dad is back from his trip, and he says he and several other grocery store owners from this area will be meeting with Frazzlemeyer about his ice cream distribution tonight.

Micky: Uh oh...

Valerie: We're both really worried about what he'll do to Dad. What if he tries to turn him into a monster or brain-drain him?

Jessie: Would he do that to a guy who owns a grocery store chain?

Emma: After what we saw yesterday, yes.

Peter: (Nods) He may seem like a sweet little guy, but those were people under that ice cream!

Mike: And we still don't know what happened to Freddy Rogers.

Emma: Herman, have you ever wanted to fight monsters?

Mike: How into mysteries are you?

Emma: Nyles, Jessie, how about you?

Jessie: Ice cream is involved. I'm in.

Herman: I like mysteries.

Nyles: I love 'em!

Mike: Good. We're going to (whispers to Herman) fight ice cream monsters. I can't let any of the cowards know around here, or they might renegade on the banana split deal.

Herman: *Whispers back* Good thinking.

Mike: Ok, everyone ready?

Millie: Mind if I join in? This place is about to close for the night anyway.

Mike: Why not? This is startin' to turn into a party.

Emma: (She stands) And the first thing we have to do is make a plan.

Mike: You bet, darlin'. (He leans over the first booth) And here it is...

(Cut to a shot of everyone on the desert highway to the factory, including some dated-by-now shots of the guys in their uniforms in the car. Another cut to the front of the factory, then inside. Mike, Emma, Slip, and Sach go around back.)

Emma: I wish we didn't have to split up, but there really is too many of us to stay together.

Mike: It'll be less obvious if we all go in small teams.

Emma: (She nods at a door) This looks like the back way in.

Mike: (Sniffs) Yeah. I smell danger... (grins) and chocolate sauce.

Emma: I wish we had some of Micky's gadgets to get us through there.

Mike: How about the easy way? These guys have seen it before.

Sach: And I never get tired of seeing it!

Mike: Ok, then. (He concentrates. When it subsides, they're in what appears to be the back of the building. It looks like a larger version of the freezer area in the back of Frazzlemeyer's. Shelves and shelves of nuts, fruits, and various syrups wait to be taken away and poured into the vats.)

Emma: Looks like we found where they keep the extras.

Mike: (His ears almost seem to perk) What's that squishing sound?

Emma: (Frowns) What do you mean?

Mike: Do you guys hear it, too?

Slip: I hear it, and it don't sound friendly.

Emma: (She peeks out...and pulls right back in) Um, baby, you mentioned some monsters earlier. (She opens the door...to reveal the ice cream monsters) Would these guys be it?

Mike: Off-hand, yeah, I'd say so.

("Good Clean Fun" begins as everyone ducks out of the monsters' way.)

*Sach grabs a can of whipped cream, finds a perch to settle himself on, and starts spraying various monsters with the cream and laughing.*

(Emma and Mike grab spray guns filled with chocolate syrup and shoot the monsters with them. They get so gooey, they can't move.)

(Mike grabs buckets of sprinkles and tosses them over their heads.)

Emma: (As the music ends) Is everyone all right?

Mike: (Nods; most of the monsters can't move) Yeah. I'm ok. Where's the other two?

*Sach waves from his perch.*

Mike: (Sees one of the monsters on the floor...and a hand waving from under it) Oh man... (He and Emma pull a very messy Slip out from under the monster) Are you ok?

Slip: I'm wonderful. How are you?

Mike: Less messy than you are. Come on, let's find you a bucket of water or somethin'.

Slip: I'll take just about any kinda water right now.

Emma: Let's get out of here and find the others, before those monsters figure out what hit them.

(They all exit the room, climbing over the monster on the floor as we fade out.)
