Ok, so, everyone ready to attend court in England?

Sir Robert: No.

Peter: If it'll make us musicians...

Georgi: Ready.

Ursula: I'm ready, too. (Mutters) I just hope my uncle isn't.

(We open in the city this time, as a small carriage enters a large gated Medieval metropolis. The houses are mostly made of stone and thatch, different from the wooden construction of Berlin, and it's much dirtier. Sir Robert makes a face as the carriage stops before an inn and he's jolted up front, next to Georgi.)

Sir Robert: Next time, I drive.

Peter: (He joins them up front with his mandolin) Have we arrived yet?

Sir Robert: Oui. Alive. (Glares at Georgi) Barely. You are crazy driver!

Georgi: That's how we all drive!

Sir Robert: Then I am never driving with any of you.

Ursula: (She climbs up front) Really, boys. We have to find somewhere to stay for the night. (Nods at the inn) That looks like as good a place as any.

Sir Robert: I'll take the carriage around back. The rest of you try to get us the cheapest rooms you can while we look for work.

Ursula: (Nods) The money we made from the sale of the horses is almost gone.

(The three enter the Inn as Sir Robert brings the cart around to a stable in the back. The Inn turns out to use a similar set to the bar, only with a long staircase on one side and a small counter on the end. We see four pretty women surrounding a table and giggling...and we definitely hear a familiar male voice coming from them, singing what sounds like "(Look Out) Here Comes Tomorrow.")

Ursula: (Nods at the large bartender/Inn owner) We'll take two rooms, please. (Nods at the women and the singer) What's all that about?

Inn Owner: (Rolls his eyes) Oh, that's probably just Lord David and whatever wenches he's picked up today.

Peter: He's a fine singer.

Georgi: *As the he and the women laugh* They seem to be having good time.

Peter: (Two more women join them; he's blushing now) He seems to get a lot of girls.

Ursula: (Cut back to her as she frowns at the Inn Keeper) But sir, that's more than we can afford to pay!

Inn Keeper: Take it or leave it, lady, but you won't find another Inn in this part of Manchester.

Ursula: Could we work for our rooms?

Sir Robert: (He joins them) What's going on? (Makes a face at the crowd of women) When did we end up at a tea party?

Peter: I think there is a young man with them.

Sir Robert: I feel sorry for that garcon. He will be smothered.

Ursula: Sir Robert, do you have our instruments?

Sir Robert: I can get them fast. Wait. (He goes off-camera. We see a blue light...and he comes back with what looks like two drums and a black mandolin.) Here. There was no one upstairs.

Inn Keeper: If you're good, I'll let you stay on with no charge. If you ain't, you're out of here faster than a greased mouse.

Sir Robert: We are bon, monseuir.

Peter: (They get onto a small stage in the back) Ok, are you ready to play?

Sir Robert: I am, Pierre. (Pulls the mandolin on and tunes up)

Georgi: Ready.

(The boys play "Take A Giant Step," with Ursula singing along very well indeed. The Inn Keeper watches, his frown quickly changing to a smile. They get the attention of the group of women, too. They all turn to watch them, though we still don't see who was with them. Finally, when the song's done, everyone claps. The quartet on the stage bows.)

Sir Robert: And now. for our next song...

Lord David: *Walks over to the stage* Excuse me, mates. You make an excellent trio, but I think you're missing something.

Sir Robert: How do you know?

Ursula: Thank you, sir. What are we missing?

Lord David: A singer, mates!

Sir Robert: We all sing, monseuir.

Peter: I heard you singing before, sir. You are very good. Would you like to sing with us?

Sir Robert: Pierre...

Georgi: Yeah, man! *grins at the others* Then maybe we'd get some of those nice ladies...

(Sir Robert rolls his eyes. Peter blushes.)

Ursula: Shall we begin, then?

(We launch into "Penny Music," David dancing and singing and having a whale of a time. Sir Robert just sighs and rolls his eyes.)

(Peter really gets into it, joining David in the dancing towards the end of the song.)

(Ursula dances, too, though a bit awkwardly.)

(Sir Robert shakes his head. All the girls are watching David with stars in their eyes.)

Inn Keeper: (He claps for them as they finish) Wonderful! You're really grand!

Peter: That was...oh my, that was like magic!

Sir Robert: Not bad.

Ursula: There's just something about the four of you that works together. You fit each other.

Sir Robert: (Turns to David) What is your name, monseuir?

Lord David: I am Lord David. What are your names?

Ursula: (She curtsies; Sir Robert and Peter bow behind their instruments) We're so sorry, your Lordship! We didn't know. I am Ursula of Berlin.

Sir Robert: Sir Robert Del Naysmythe of France.

Peter: (Blushing heavily) Um, Peter Thork of Bavaria.

Georgi: Georgiano Dolenzia. Call me Georgi.

Sir Robert: You're a very good singer and dancer, Your Lordship.

Lord David: *nods* Thank you very much. You three play very well. How long have you been playing together?

Sir Robert: A few months now.

Peter: We have mostly played in Inns like this one, and a few taverns.

Sir Robert: But we're practicing our music every chance we get.

Peter: (Mutters) Too often. (Leans over Georgi) How much does Robert push us to practice, practice?

Georgi: Day in and day out.

Ursula: We're glad you appreciated our group, your Lordship. We're just trying to earn some money to be able to pay for our rooms here.

Sir Robert: We were told there are no other Inns in this part of town.

Ursula: What brings you here, your Lordship? I would think such a humble building would be beneath your notice.

Lord David: Just thought I'd make some new lady friends.

Sir Robert: You have certainly made many of them.

Peter: Are all of them yours? Oh my...

Sir Robert: Perhaps you know of a good tavern in search of musiciens, Your Lordship?

Ursula: We would be forever greatful to you.

Lord David: Actually, one of me sisters is getting married & we've been searching for a band to play.

Sir Robert: Ahh. We have never played a wedding. We would be honored to attend such an occasion. (Bows again)

Peter: (Leans over Georgi) He does know how to play up to people.

Lord David: Fantastic. Perhaps you'd like to stay at the Manor.

Sir Robert: For free?

Peter: Oh, we would love to!

Lord David: Certainly.

Ursula: (She bows) We accept your invitation. Thank you very much, your Grace.

Georgi: Thank you, thank you!

Lord David: Excellent. You can follow my carriage.

Sir Robert: (Eyes widen; points to a huge carriage with gold trim pulled by four white horses that's just pulling up to the tavern) Is that it?

Peter: Oh my!

Georgi: Wow! :

Ursula: (Bows) Our carriage is around back. We'll follow you to your home.

Sir Robert: Our carriage looks nothing like that!

Lord David: Very well mates. I'll be here.

Sir Robert: Oui, you do that. (He grabs Peter and their instruments and hurries outside. Ursula takes one of Georgi's drums; Georgi takes the other. They follow, driving the carriage around front.)

Peter: (As they pull up behind the carriage and Georgi and Ursula get in) Isn't this exciting? We are going to play for a real court wedding!

Sir Robert: If this garcon has so much money, why is he chasing those filles? They are barely more than loose women.

Peter: But he is an excellent singer, and he dances well, too. Maybe we could invite him to join us.

Sir Robert: A lord, joining a poor band of musiciens?

Ursula: (Sighs) Actually, I rather wish he would join you. When you're together, it was like...I felt all the forces of nature together....

Peter: (Nods) There's something about his aura that's very...strong. Strong, but.. (frowns) sad.

Sir Robert: He did not seem sad to me. (Nods at Lord David as he comes out of the Inn with two women on his arm and two more behind him) Are you ready to go, My Lordship?

Lord David: *Nods* I am.

Sir Robert: Are you bringing all the filles, or just the ones you fancy most?

Peter: There's so many of them!

Lord David: I am bringing these ladies along. They won the toss.

Sir Robert: Ahh. (Shakes his head) We'd best be getting along.

(Lord David and his lady friends enter their carriage, and both carriages head off into Manchester.)

(Cut to the road leading to Rose Hill Manor. It looks like the outside of the manor house in "Monkees Mind Their Manor" with carriages around it and banners swirling. The three young men's eyes are wide, but Ursula is less impressed.)

Ursula: It's a small manor house compared to others I've seen in England and Europe.

Sir Robert: What are the bigger ones called, Burgundy?

(They follow the carriage into the main manor area. Cut to what looks like the Montgomery House ballroom set. They follow David and two servants in fancy breeches into the room.)

Sir Robert: (Looks around at all the elaborate furniture, the bright chandelier and huge windows) We are to play here, Your Lordship?

Peter: (His mouth is open and his eyes are wide) This is amazing!

Lord David: Yes, this is where you'll play. It isn't much, really.

Ursula: You don't seem like a very big manor.

Lord David: We really aren't. Mum and Dad are hoping me sisters marry into money.

Ursula: (As the three young men climb onto the stage) And what about you, Your Lordship, if you pardon me asking.

Lord David: *Shrugs* I'm not really interested in marriage.

Sir Robert: A garcon by my own heart.

Peter: I'm sure you will find someone someday, your Lordship!

Sir Robert: Now, we'd be honored if you would practice with us, Lord David.

Lord David: I'd love to, mate.

Peter: Would you like to sing this song? (He hands him a sheet of parchment) We've worked on it, but none of us sound right. We were going to have Ursula sing it. It's good for a wedding. It's called "I'll Love You Forever."

Lord David: I'd love to, mate.

(And we launch into "I'll Love You Forever," as we fade out on the empty ballroom...and fade in on what looks like the ballroom, but filled with people in elaborate gowns and suits.)
