Everyone ready to begin?
Mike: Mick, Davy, where the hell are you? :p
*Crickets chirp.*
Davy: (Pants as she lets him go) Who...who...are you? Where did you come from? I thought the University of California had those cloning devices!
Zelda: Alex still had the blueprints, and he made a new one. My name is Zelda. I've actually been around for a little while.
Davy: You mentioned your name. Why has no one ever talked about you before?
Zelda: Because if they had, we wouldn't have had the element of surprise.
Davy: (Struggles to get out from under Zelda) I'm starting to not like that element very much.
Zelda: Too bad. *starts feeling his chest* Now to do a little soul reading...
Davy: (As she unbuttons his shirt) Wot ARE you doin'? If Daphne sees you puttin' your 'and there...
Zelda: *ignores him * Here we go... *press her hand flat over his heart*
Zelda: You're worried that your little band seems to have lost a member and that it might not end there. You're not sure what your career would be like without them. You're afraid Daphne will find out about your current roving eye. You're also a little jealous that the others have special powers, but you don't even know if you have any.
Davy: (Gulps) Y...yes... (He tries to concentrate) I have to get to Mike and the girls...
Zelda: *rubs her fingers against his temples* Oh no, you don't! You're not getting away that easily.
(Davy finally collapses on the floor, panting.)
Zelda: Much better. Now, you know just a little too much for my liking. I'll just have to do something about that.
Davy: Wot do 'ye mean?
Zelda: I need to make you forget everything that's happened here.
Davy: Oh no, you don't! (He begins to squirm under her again)
*Zelda rubs his temples again until he no longer struggles.*
(Davy once again pants, his eyes clouded.)
Davy: I will remembah nothing.
Zelda: Good boy.
(Zelda easily lifts the small man to his feet.)
Zelda: Now, you're going to get in the elevator. When we get to the first floor and the doors open, you won't remember any of this.
Davy: Yes, Milady.
Zelda: *puts an arm around his shoulders* Good. Let’s go. *She leads him out to the elevator and pushes a floor button. The elevator stops, dings, and the doors open.*
Mike: (Heads over) Did you find anything?
Davy: (Shakes his head as if to clear it) Uhh... (Sighs) No, we didn't see nothin'.
Mike: I can't believe this. No one has seen him down here since he left with us!
Zelda: Well, he couldn't just up and disappear! He HAS to be around here somewhere.
Mike; (Throws his hands in the air) Forget it! He'll show up when he feels like it. I'm gonna call Em and Daph and tell them to just come home. Lauren, you feelin' anythin' from Mick yet?
Zelda: All I can tell is that he's okay.
Mike: Great, just great. I'm gonna brain Mick when I get my hands on him. If this is a prank...
(Fade out on Mike fuming and storming upstairs; fade in on Emma and Daphne walking down the street.)
Emma: Well, we searched the whole zoo from top to bottom and every joke shop and comic book store on the block.
Daphne: He has to be somewhere. He couldn't just vanish!
Emma: Well, he could make himself invisible. Remember our powers.
Daphne: Yeah, but if he knew we were looking for him, he'd show up. I think.
Emma: Not if he got really involved with something.
(The two round a corner. Emma keeps going to the next destination, but Daphne stops suddenly.)
Emma: Daph? (She looks over her shoulder) Daph? What's wrong?
Daphne: *makes a face* Something's wrong with Davy, but I'm not sure what.
Emma: What do you mean? (Rolls her eyes) Did he and Mike get into a fist fight? I don't really feel like getting ice from the machine in the hallway for those two.
Daphne: No, not like that. I can't really explain it. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe we should head back and see if the others found Micky yet.
Emma: (Nods) Maybe we should... (That's when there's a beeping sound) Ooops, I think that's my communicator. (She pulls out her new, phone-shaped communicator; an annoyed Mike can be seen plainly on the small screen) Hi, honey. Any luck?
Mike: No. I say we leave him alone for now. He'll come home when he's good and ready. I don't feel like running around Toronto looking for him. :p
Emma: (Sighs) Haven't we been the ones doing that?
Mike: And you don't need to do it more. If this is a prank, I will wallop him one.
Zelda: *in the background* So will I!
Emma: We'll be in as soon as we can. (Turns the communicator off and puts it in her purse with a sigh) Well, Mike called off the search. (Frowns) I don't know, though. It's not like Micky to just go off like this, without even telling Lauren.
Daphne: There's something strange going on, even for Micky.
Emma: We have to talk to the others. I have a really bad feeling about this. My stomach felt terrible the whole time we were at the zoo. (Turns to Daphne) And you just felt something off of Davy!
Daphne: *nods* We have to figure out what's going on.
Emma: Let's get back, before neither you nor I have a husband to return to that's in one piece.
Daphne: Good thinking.
(We fade out on the ladies as they head back down the street and fade in on the penthouse room again. Sheila's returned, this time in heels and a suit. She comes in and drops her Italian leather briefcase on the table, then flops on the couch.)
Sheila: Alex? Zelda? Girls? (Sighs) You just can't get good help these days.
Alex: *enters from the kitchen* I thought I heard the door.
Sheila: Hello, Alex dear. How's work on the new equipment at the arena going?
Alex: Going great. It's practically all set and will only need some minor tweaking.
Sheila: Wonderful! And how's our, ahem, little polar bear faring?
Alex: He's doing just fine.
Sheila: Good. No one suspects he's not a bear?
Alex: Nope, not even the other bears.
Sheila: Good. Now where's Zelda? She was supposed to be working on the male Guardians!
(There's a black light, and Zelda emerges, looking particularly pleased with herself.)
Alex *grins* Speak of the devil.
Sheila: Good. Have you seduced the male Guardians yet?
Zelda: One of the two so far. I'll be returning shortly to get the other one.
Sheila: Well, which one? What did you get from him?
Zelda: The Lord of the Manor. He's worried about their little group breaking up, and that he doesn't have some type of special power.
Sheila: Yes, they all do seem to do something in addition to their own powers? I can imagine that would upset him. (Smirks) We can use that. We can use the fear of the group breaking apart, too. The Bard left, didn't he?
(She grins when Zelda nods.)
Sheila: Good girl. This is all wonderful news. (Makes a face) It'll be far more difficult to corner the White Knight. He's stubborn and won't be easy to convince.
Zelda: We'll see.
